Wonderful experience! - My husband and I had a wonderful time on this day trip! The day was perfectly planned out, with breathtaking views. We loved the horseback riding and walking around the 7 lakes. The meals were also delicious. A huge thank you to Juan, who was so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He made the experience all the more enjoyable. We’d very highly recommend this tour!

100% recommended this agency provides a good quality of service I was satisfied - My experience was simply excellent. We woke up very early along with my friends, as at 4:30 a.m. they stopped by to pick us up. Our first stop was in Pacchanta, where we started the ride and got on the horses. It should be noted that our muleman wore a traditional costume of the place, which made the experience even more authentic and special.
Our guide gave us very clear and complete explanations throughout the tour, which greatly enriched the adventure. We were lucky enough to enjoy a sunny climate, unusual for this rainy season, which allowed us to fully appreciate the stunning landscapes.
In addition, our driver was very friendly and attentive from the start to the end of the tour. My congratulations to the whole agency, as every detail was perfectly organized.
I recommend this experience 100% to anyone who wants to enjoy Ausangate and the 7 lakes safely, comfortably and memorably.

Horseback Riding to Ausangate and 7 lares - My experience with Peru Hike was excellent from the very beginning. We departed very early, at 4:30 a.m., which allowed us to make the most of the day. We arrived in Pacchanta, where we began the horseback ride. Our guide, Wilson, was very professional and attentive; throughout the journey he explained the lagoons in detail and gave us enough time to take photos and enjoy the scenery at our own pace.
At the end of the activity, we returned for lunch, which was delicious and very well served. I would like to give special thanks to our muleteer, Raymundo, who stood out for his kindness, his traditional outfit, and the excellent care of his horses, all of which were beautiful and well looked after. I would also like to mention our driver, Deyvi, who was very friendly and responsible throughout the trip.
Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable experience. I 100% recommend Peru Hike for their organization, quality of service, and the warm treatment provided by the entire team.

7 Lakes - The tour guide was very patient and accommodating to my schedule. The horses saved on my legs, but if I had to do again, I would probably choose to hike by foot.

WOW views! - This trip on the horses close to the glacier mountains was just incredible. The views were remarkable, horses were cute and reliable and our guide Percy Mojonero Sarmiento was great as a guide and as person himself. Also the breakfast and luch was very good and for everybody’s choise. The transportation was great too thanks to our driver Richar Champi. I highly recommend this tour! 10 out of 10!! 👍

A Magical Day at the 7 Lakes of Ausangate – Full Day Horseback Tour with Peru Hike - We did the full-day tour to the 7 Lakes of Ausangate with Peru Hike, and honestly, it was one of the most amazing experiences we’ve had in Peru. From the moment they picked us up at our hotel, everything was perfectly organized. The transportation was punctual, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and professional throughout the entire day.
After a few hours on the road, we arrived at the starting point of the hike, where we were offered a warm and hearty breakfast—just what we needed to get ready for the adventure ahead. The scenery was already breathtaking at that point, with towering mountains and fresh air that fills you with energy.
We chose to do the route on horseback, and it was the best decision. The trail is long and at a high altitude, so riding allowed us to fully enjoy the views without getting exhausted. The horses were well cared for, and the local horsemen were kind, attentive, and always nearby to assist.
The lakes themselves are absolutely stunning. Each one has a different color—turquoise, green, deep blue—surrounded by snow-capped peaks, glaciers, rivers, and incredible high-Andean landscapes. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop in awe every few minutes just to take it all in.
We were guided throughout the day by Gilton, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and clearly passionate about the region. He shared with us local legends, history, insights about the Andean communities, wildlife, plants, and how the lakes change with the seasons. He was always making sure we felt good, safe, and were enjoying the journey.
At the end of the hike, we were served a delicious lunch, freshly made with local ingredients—perfect to refuel after the trek. We had some time to relax, take in the final views, and then returned to Cusco comfortably.
✨ All in all, it was a magical and unforgettable day—beautiful landscapes, rich culture, amazing food, and a team that truly cares about giving you the best experience.
I 100% recommend this tour with Peru Hike, and if you can, ask for Gilton as your guide. Thank you for such a special day!

Breathtaking views! Could sit up there for hours. - I loved the views! Juan and our muler did a great job of picking horses for each of us. I am actually very uncomfortable on a horse and the horse they gave me named Dragon was a sweetie with just a bit of it's own personality shining through! Going up and back on the horses they did a great job being attentive to our party and going at a pace that was welcome. They were on time for the very early morning pickup with great attitudes! The night before we did meet with them to go over expectations and they were accommodating. Once we reached the 7 lagoons you cannot even put words to how pretty the lakes were. They shifted in colors as the sun moved through the clouds. I could have sat up there for hours looking at the shifting vibrant colors. The walk around the lakes was easy and there was a little Andean child up there who asked for a piece of candy. Upon entering the lakes we went through the respect ritual of giving an offering to Pachamama for safe passage and wishes. I loved Juan shared his culture with us. The food for lunch and breakfast was good and filling. This was an excellent way to near the end of our trip. By now we were well acclimated and had seen many ruins, so this was a nice change of pace. Juan was so amazing and I loved the patient muler!

🐎 Magical Horseback Adventure to the 7 Lakes of Ausangate - I had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable horseback journey to the stunning 7 lakes of Ausangate with Peru Hike. From the very beginning, I knew it would be a special day, but it exceeded all expectations.
The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—snow-capped mountains rising high into the sky, crystal-clear lakes in vivid shades of turquoise and emerald, and a peaceful Andean silence that touches your soul. Riding through this dreamlike scenery on horseback was the best decision.
