Unforgettable Peruvian Adventure – A Must-Read Before You Book! - My family and I just returned from an incredible trip to Peru that was both rewarding and challenging. I'm giving it a 4.5/5 and want to share some crucial advice for future travelers. Physical Demands Are No Joke This itinerary is not a leisurely vacation. It involves long days with significant walking and hiking at very high altitudes. The Rainbow Mountain trek, for example, reaches 5,100 meters (over 16,700 feet). If you have any pre-existing heart or respiratory conditions or bad knees, I would seriously reconsider visiting Cusco. The beauty is stunning, but your health and safety are more important. Be Prepared for Travel & Weather "Peru weather" means four seasons in a day. We experienced sun, rain, and cold, sometimes within hours. Pack versatile, layered clothing. Also, be ready for extensive time on a bus traveling to and from these incredible sites. A Note on Traveling with Children We had our brave 7-year-old daughter with us, and she handled it like a champ. That said, we didn't see any other young kids on our tours. It's absolutely possible, but parents must plan accordingly with extra snacks, patience, and managed expectations. My Key Recommendations: 1. Add Rest Days: There is so much to see, and the travel is exhausting. I highly recommend adding 2-3 rest days between major excursions to truly recover and recharge. 2. Go Sooner Rather Than Later: This is the kind of active, demanding adventure best done while you have the energy of youth. Don't wait until retirement! A Huge Shoutout to Our Guide A special thank you to our guide, Pablo. His help on the Humantay Lake hike was invaluable. He went all-in to assist my daughter, and without him, the journey would have been far more difficult. He made our experience truly memorable. Overall, this was a trip of a lifetime. Plan wisely, and you can have an amazing experience too! Also, lastly if you like luxury hotel do ask for upgrade options,

During the tour our advisor Yudith was very aware of our stay in the country - The landscapes were amazing, we managed to take many photos for the memory. the explanations of the places, their stories and so on were told by native guides of the country. Our advisor was always very attentive, with her kindness we provided excellent Service.

Great Machu Picchu Tour! - Chullos Travel Peru, Milena, worked very hard to coordinate every detail of the 7 day package, especially, during the time of uncertainty due to the political unrest! We were lucky that Lima/Cusco opened for the tourist one week before we arrived and the Machu Picchu was spectacular and the highlight of my one month travel in South America! The value for the money paid is very good! However, if Chullos Travel can give a little attention in working with the actual tour providers who are more consciences of the quality of the food they serve, provide better "English" speaking professional guides and choose a better accommodations, this trip would be a five star!

Oh well - It was all different companies doing each trip and I have seen some amazing places for sure. And some of the foods were lush (some) However English is not very common and sometimes it is hard to communicate with the guides. It is kind of understandable given the landscapes but you spend up to 8 hours travelling from cusco to the locations mentioned and spend barely 40 mins there. I did not have anytime to climitise which was quite hard on the system...straight to nearly 4000 meters. They changed my itinary and were communicating ONLY via Whatsapp. Which was a bit frustrating for me as I did not have time to buy the correct plug due to timing of things and was very worried about running out of charge (including the powerbank) Also needed WIFI access to get their messages as the person arranges things is different to the guides you see everyday...So be prepared to pay outrages mobile charges and not knowing what are you doing next day until you get reception or wifi access and almost everyday you wake up around 4 am (but one) I think the worst part was the most important part for me..MachuPichu. There were strikes at the time and they blamed every problem on that which is upsetting really. I was told there would be breakfast pack from the hotel which there was not (given that it was included in the package I paid for some 5 months ago) and I was told I had to pay for my breakfast and given less than 10 mins to eat it. (They said they would offer dinner but did not bother sorting anything out...its all about the money after all) I was told to find my way back from the site to bus stop then to the train station which was sad and stressful. I barely had 10 percent of the guided tour and the guide had other customers he wanted to focus on (the same people I was picked up with in the morning) who had their train tickets booked at 4 pm by different compaines (mine was at 2 pm) I had to make my own way to hotel from the centre everyday which was not too difficult after second day but worrying the first day nonetheless My hotel room was infested with ants to top it all So I will not and WOULD NOT recommend this package You are better off going to Cusco and arranging things with tour companies yourself in your own time..I am adamant it would be cheaper too

Poor hotel accommodation and tour itinerary changed on the go - Does not recommend this tour to people. 1. Very poor hotel accommodation with no electricity and water supply. Hotel provided half a bucket of water for 2 people for personal hygiene purposes, see attached image of the bucket provided. 2. Tour itinerary on day 6 was not executed per the plan. There was no bridge at all instead it was under construction. The whole day 6 went on just travel and see people constructing the bridge.
