- Sacsayhuaman - Sacsayhuaman – Attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties, this site is situated 3 km from Cusco, on the upper side. Chroniclers describe it as a solar shrine, constructed with massive limestone blocks to defend the city from eastern invaders, known as Antis. It features three large, zigzagging terraces bordered by enormous rock walls.
- Q’enqo - Qenqo – Located one kilometer from Sacsayhuaman, this was a ceremonial center, marked by a giant monolith in the center, possibly depicting an animal, which served as the main deity. It is surrounded by niches for offerings. Below, there are additional niches and an altar used for embalming bodies or possibly for sacrifices to the Gods.
- Tambomachay - Tambomachay – Situated 9 km from the city, it is known as the Inca baths due to its water features, and may have been a temple dedicated to water worship and purification for the Inca. It consists of three platforms with various niches for offerings.
