SORAYPAMPA - The journey begins with an early morning hotel pick-up, followed by a picturesque drive to Mollepata (2,700m) for breakfast. A brief bus ride then takes travelers to Soraypampa (3,800m), the starting point of the trek. The hike commences with a gentle ascent, transitioning into a steeper climb through winding zigzags. Along the path, trekkers will be treated to stunning views of Salkantay (6,271m), the revered guardian of the jungle.
At the highest point of the pass (4,630m), panoramic views of the Sacred Mountains, Humantay and Salkantay, await. Here, participants can add a pebble to the pile of stones, an offering to the Apus (mountain spirits) for a safe journey. Remnants of an ancient Inca trail can also be seen, stretching across the mountainside.
After enjoying the views, the group begins a gentle descent to the first campsite at Andenes (3,400m / 11,150ft), arriving in the late afternoon to rest and reflect on the day’s adventure.

Aguas Calientes - Another early start offers breathtaking views over the valley. After a 3-hour journey, the group arrives at an Incan site named Llactapata, which overlooks Machu Picchu. This magical view is a rare sight for most tourists! A 2-hour downhill trail leads hikers into a forest with increasingly dense vegetation, reaching the hydroelectric power station for lunch. Finally, the journey follows the railway up the Urubamba valley to the final destination at Aguas Calientes, where an overnight hotel stay awaits.

MACHUPICCHU
Machupicchu - An early start to Machu Picchu ensures the best photo opportunities. After the guided tour, visitors have time to explore and wander around Machu Picchu independently. The day concludes with a return to Aguas Calientes for a well-deserved rest and lunch, followed by a train ride to Ollantaytambo and a bus back to Cusco.
