In Challacancha, the group meets with the muleteers to embark on one of Peru’s most breathtaking treks. The trail winds through a picturesque valley flanked by the majestic snow-capped peaks of Humantay and Salkantay. The day concludes at the first mountain campsite in Soraypampa (3,700 m).

Optional activity: In the afternoon, a walk to the stunning Humantay Lagoon is recommended, renowned for its turquoise waters and panoramic vistas. The round trip from Soraypampa to the lagoon (4,220 m) takes about 3 hours.
