How long is the distance for a day trip cycling?
The average distance is 20-30KM (12-17 Miles), providing deeper insight into the Mekong villages.
Several agents offer day trip cycling; please check the total distance before booking. Most offer NORMAL bikes and ride around 5 KM (2-3 Miles) in tourist areas.

The best day ever! - Such a great day to end our Vietnam adventure as a family of 4! (14 and 13 year old children) . Lee our guide was amazing and we felt very safe and comfortable the whole day. The river boat ride and meeting the captains wife was a highlight. As was the bike tour and kayaking. We went through the villages and really felt like we were in real Vietnam! The people and children are so friendly and we loved every minute. Would highly recommended if you are a sporty family. It was super hot but we were well looked after with lots of breaks and refreshing food provided. Can't wait to come back so the long bike tours with Lee and the team!

Great day in rural areas of Mekong Delta - Just before TET New Year we had a great pleasure to take part in tour to the very heart of Mekong Delta. Our guide and driver Chau was very kind and helpul, so we didn't have to worry at all :-)
It was the time with less tourists and more Vietnamese preparing for the feast week, so we had great opportunity to see the real life in the countryside.
We took the boat to the floating market in Cai Be, then we went to one of the islands on the Mekong River, did some kayaking along canals where some fishermen were checking their nets and after all that water experience we made over 20 km by bike through narrow streets and paths in the neighbourhood of Cai Be.
That was a fantastic day, although we were dead tired on the way back to Saigon.

Authentic local experience - This was quite a unique trip as I barely saw other tourists. It meant that we were off the beaten track!
The tour operator had great communications, and reminded me where to meet and sent me photos after the tour.
The trip started at 7am and finished at 6pm. We drove out to the Mekong river with a short coffee stopover. We then picked up our bike to cycle to the riverside. Hopped on a boat and got a great explanation of how the locals live off the river. We had a short excursion to a wet market. We then kayaked on a very peaceful strip of the river for an hour, with a short stop for fruits and water (or beer), before we kayaked some more.
We got back to have some local snacks and cycled to lunch. Local lunch with such fresh food.
Cycled to a temple and then back to the car.
Everything was taken care of. I had a great time.

Amazing off the beaten track experience - Wow what a brilliant final tour to end our trip. It was a long and varied day - we were picked up 7am and got back to hotel 6pm. We ended up with a private tour as no other tourists booked but it was absolutely worth the money. Quang our guide was exceptional - very engaging and knowledgeable made the whole experience very enjoyable. Uc our driver did a great job navigating the traffic and getting us between activities on time and with all relevant equipment.
We explored local markets, drove a boat along Mekong delta , Kayaked through quiet waterways, cycled through picturesque villages and enjoyed delicious local food and variety of cold drinks

One not to be missed - What an amazing time we both had. Chau was a fantastic guide who chatted a long the way. After a morning of cycling we were heading for a spot of canoeing, but the heat of the sun sapped our energy. Thankfully Chau took pity on is and let us opt for a lovely shaded boat trip. The captain even let us have a go at driving the boat.
Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting HCMC

Fantastic trip on the Mekong - Perfect trip to explore the Mekong and local villages outside the classic sightseeing tour: kayaking on the river and cycling in the countryside. The Lee guide is very nice and prepared and are provided water beer fruit and lunch in a cute place frequented by locals. Absolutely recommended for a pleasant and adventurous day that also supports the local community.

Great experience - Great experience and great guide! He took me put to the mekong-delta and showed my real local life. We tried some streetfood and he cared about everything. Kajaking, boat trip and nice bycicletour. I highly can recommand this tour and the guide Lee!
