- Victoria Street - From the Castle Esplanade, the tour will proceed downhill to Victoria Street, renowned as Edinburgh’s most picturesque and vibrant street.
- Grassmarket - At the conclusion of Victoria Street, the tour will enter the Grassmarket, a spacious plaza known for its pubs and intriguing history.
- Greyfriars Bobby - From the Grassmarket, the tour will ascend Candlemarker Row. At the street’s end, visitors will encounter Edinburgh’s most famous and loyal dog, Bobby, along with the statue located just outside the graveyard.
- Greyfriars Kirkyard - Behind Bobby, the entrance to Greyfriars Kirkyard awaits. In this historic graveyard, visitors will learn about Mortsafes and the connection between the Scottish Covenanters and the George Mackenzie Mausoleum.
- National Museum of Scotland - The tour will pause outside the National Museum of Scotland, where the guide will share stories about some of its most renowned artifacts, including Dolly the sheep, the first cloned mammal from an adult cell, and the Lewis Chessmen, whose replicas appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Although the tour will not enter the museum, visitors will hear how it reflects Scotland’s scientific, cultural, and industrial heritage.
- St Giles’ Cathedral - Following the National Museum of Scotland, the tour will head towards the Royal Mile via Cowgate. The guide will explain the origin of the name Royal Mile and explore its historical significance. The first stop will be St. Giles’ Cathedral, where the architecture of Scotland’s most important church and the history of the Presbyterian religion will be discussed. The tour will also visit West Parliament Square to discuss the Act of Union.
- Mercat Cross - Behind St. Giles’ Cathedral, the Mercat Cross will be found, once a site for public announcements and punishments. The guide will also explain the significance of the unicorn atop this structure.
