An authentic and informative tour - even if you’re not a whisky drinker! - Michaelin was a superb tour guide - she really knew her stuff and chatted so easily and answered all our questions. The tour is informative and interesting (I have gone along with my husband and have no interest in whisky but enjoyed it!). The bar at the end is well priced and Michaelin made me a delicious gin cocktail! Highly recommend

Must do in Edinburgh - Excellent, informative tour led by Matthew. Humorous but with good detail about the history, business, and process of whiskey (and gin) distilling in Scotland. Best wishes to Holyrood. Excellent whiskey (and gin and new make cordial).

Informative, enjoyable and tasty tour. Don't miss it. - We were nearly at the end of our trip to Scotland and realized that we hadn't done a distillery tour. After a bit of searching, we found Holyrood, which was about a 20 minute walk from our hotel. What a gem this tour turned out to be. Our tour guide, Matt, was incredibly knowledgeable - and funny. He did a great job of describing the distillation process for Holyrood's whisky and gin and the samples were very good.

Passionate - It was a small tour, just my husband and I and another individual. You could really tell Brice was passionate about the distilling process. We have been on several distillery tours before, but this one we both felt was more informative.

A great experience!! - We had a great time learning about this distillery’s journey, and Mathew made it an extra fun experience. A+ tour guide!! As 3 people who don’t like whiskey but felt we needed this Scottish experience, we would highly recommend this tour to anyone hesitating. Thanks Mathew and Holyrood!

Funny guided tour of the distillery. - We had a very, very entertaining guided tour with Matthew, who really put in the effort. An interesting and funny tour of the young distillery, which has highlighted the difficulties, opportunities and ideas of the new distillery. Can be done in any case when you are nearby. Decent experience but could be better - The whisky tour at Holyrood Distillery was okay. It’s a fairly new distillery, and while it was interesting to see their setup, the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. Dave, our guide, was knowledgeable and passionate, especially when describing flavours. However, some of the explanations were quite technical and could’ve been a bit more beginner-friendly and detailed. A decent stop if you're nearby, but not a must-do.
