- Aberfoyle - Aberfoyle is a quaint town located in the heart of the Trossachs National Park. Surrounded by mountains and forests, it serves as the starting point for our bicycle ride.
As one of the Highlands’ first tourist destinations in the 1800s, its popularity soared with the opening of the railway station, which brought visitors from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We will follow in their footsteps by cycling out of town and exploring the great outdoors.
- Loch Ard - After departing Aberfoyle, we will arrive at Loch Ard, a stunning loch with glassy waters, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking views.
- Trossachs - Our scenic route rises, falls, and winds through rare native forests, passing by the remote and beautiful Loch Chon. There is an opportunity to visit a small, tranquil beach and admire the towering mountains.
- Stronachlachar - The pier at Stronachlachar is the docking point for the Sir Walter Scott Steamship, which has been operating on Loch Katrine since 1899. Here, we can enjoy a delightful lunch at the Pier Cafe. (Lunch not included in price)
- Scotland - Glen Gyle, located at the western end of Loch Katrine, was the birthplace and early home of the renowned outlaw and freedom fighter Rob Roy McGregor.
- Loch Katrine - Upon reaching the end of Loch Katrine at the Trossachs Pier, our wonderful day of cycling concludes. We will pick you up and return you to Edinburgh.
- Loch Katrine - Loch Katrine is one of Scotland’s vast freshwater lochs, stretching as far as the eye can see. The route ascends and descends above its banks, beneath the towering mountain peaks.
- Trossachs - Our route emerges from the native forests, revealing stunning views across Loch Arklet and the distant Arrochar Alps. It’s a perfect spot for capturing photos of your experience.
