Participants will enjoy breathtaking views of the arctic valleys and the White Mountains while riding at a leisurely pace through the snowy forest. Keep an eye out for animal tracks in the snow, and with some luck, wildlife sightings are possible even in the coldest conditions! Throughout the ride, the guide will highlight notable features along the trail and is available to answer any questions about the area.
Due to the remote location and unpredictable weather, it is essential for self-driving guests to have vehicles equipped with 4WD and winter tires. Himalaya Road can be slick and features some inclines and declines.
Please be aware that if there is insufficient snow for the snowmachines, UTVs will be used as an alternative vehicle.

- Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
- Guests between 16 and 18 may drive their own snowmachine given they have a drivers license
- Guests under the age of 16 will be required to ride as a passenger on a parent’s snowmachine
- We do not permit guests under the age of 8 years old to participate in snowmachine tours, for their safety.

It takes one hour to reach Basecamp from Fairbanks! Make sure to leave with plenty of time, we do not offer refunds for lateness!
Please note this tour requires self drive to our property. It is imperative that guests have vehicles with 4WD and winter tires.

Scammed by the Manager — Paid for 1 Hour, Got 30 Minutes - We booked and paid full price for a 1-hour snowmobile tour for two people, with two separate snowmobiles. When we arrived, we were suddenly told there wasn’t enough snow and they were switching us to a UTV. That part is understandable — weather happens.
What is not acceptable is that instead of giving us two UTVs or adjusting the price, we were forced to share ONE UTV and the ride lasted only 30 minutes. We paid full price for a 1-hour, two-vehicle experience, but received half the time and half the equipment.
The guides and on-site staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help. They understood our concern and even contacted the manager. Unfortunately, the manager refused to take responsibility.
He denied us a refund, did not allow us to cancel, and didn’t offer any compensation despite giving us only half of what we paid for.
It honestly feels like the manager scammed us.
The management clearly prioritized keeping our money over providing the service we booked.
To make things worse, they never informed us in advance that snowmobiles would not be available. We only found out after arriving when we had no other option.
