• Borealis Basecamp - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in the morning for a 45-minute drive north along the renowned Elliott Highway to Borealis Basecamp. Nestled in the heart of the Boreal Forest, the camp offers stunning panoramic views of the valley.

The package includes a 1-hour snowmachine tour and a 30-minute reindeer meet and greet experience.

Participants will drive their own snowmachine along a groomed trail through the Boreal Forest, enjoying views of the Trans Alaska Pipeline and more.

During the 30-minute tour, guests will have the opportunity to meet the resident Alaskan-born reindeer. These reindeer reside at Basecamp year-round, enjoying a diet of reindeer feed and natural treats. The tour guide will explain how reindeer thrive in the Alaskan Arctic throughout the year and provide opportunities to feed and photograph them!

Lunch is served at Latitude 65, the on-site restaurant, offering a menu of hot and cold sandwiches, noodle dishes, and a rotating selection of features and fresh soups.

Guests can also participate in various complimentary resort activities.

Departure from Borealis Basecamp is scheduled for 4:30 pm.

Please note that if there is insufficient snow for the snowmachine, UTVs will be used as an alternative vehicle.

On your reindeer tour, our experienced reindeer handlers will introduce you to the herd of reindeer at Borealis Basecamp, and you can feed, meet, and take pictures with these incredible animals.

On your snowmachine tour, your route traces a path along the famous Trans Alaska Pipeline, with a detour through a genuine Alaskan trapline. This tour will treat you to sweeping views of the arctic valleys and the White Mountains as you ride at a comfortable pace through the snowy forest. Watch out for animal tracks in the snow, or if you’re lucky enough, wild life sightings can happen even in the coldest of conditions! As you ride, your guide will point out notable features in the trail and can answer questions you may have about the area.

• Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian
• Guests under the age of 16 will be required to ride as a passenger on a parent’s snowmachine
• Guests between 16 and 18 may drive their own snowmachine given they have a drivers license
• We do not permit guests under the age of 8 years old to participate in snowmachine tours, for their safety.
• Please note that if we have insufficient snow to run the snowmachine, we will be using utv’s as a replacement vehicle.
