The Call of the Desert

The sun had barely risen over Cairo when my fellow thrill-seekers and I were whisked away from the bustling cityscape into the heart of the Faiyum desert. Our guide, Mohamed Abd Rabu, greeted us with a warm smile and a wealth of knowledge about the region. Alongside him was Mwafi, our driver, whose calm demeanor promised a smooth journey ahead.
