Historical time with friends - I enjoyed my afternoon with Muhammad and his lovely wife exploring Georgetown. It felt like time spend with friends. If you want to see how many different cultures and religions live peacefully together enriching each other - Georgetown is your place.

Georgetown City Tour - We started off from the hotel picked up by our guide Mohammed Firdauz and headed to the Thai Temple with the reclining Buddha after which we were taken to a Coffee outlet to select different types of coffee and teas. Following on we went to a chocolate outlet offering different types of chocolates. From there we were driven to the Khoo Khong Si but unfortunately it was closed due to the Chinese New Year. We then proceeded to the Peranakan Museum where we spent quite a bit of time viewing the old furniture, jewelry and artifacts of the era which was very interesting as it showed the blending of Chinese tradition and culture into Malay habitat. From there we were taken to Armenian Street to see a famous street art and circled the neighbouring streets taking in various landmarks. We finally were taken the Clan Jetties to view the houses on stilts along the waterfront before being driven back to our hotel. Mohammed was a good guide and spoke fluent English and gave us a run down on the places we visited and also advice on where else we could go on our own during our free time.
