The tour continues with a visit to the Valley Temple of Khafre, the site where King Khafre’s royal body was received. This temple was constructed for the mummification process of King Khafre. Finally, get an up-close view of the Great Sphinx, the majestic guardian of the Pyramids, featuring a lion’s body and the head of King Khafre. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket, and the guide will gladly assist you.)
-
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The pyramid of Khufu is the only surviving wonder of the ancient seven wonders, standing tall today! It was the tallest building on earth for over 3800 years. The complex includes a valley temple, currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, though the site remains unexcavated. With your expert Egyptologist, you can explore the entire area. (Please note that entering the Great Pyramid requires a special ticket, and the guide will be happy to assist.)
-
Khafre’s Pyramid - The second tallest pyramid in the complex is dedicated to King Chefren or Khafre. The entire complex is well-preserved, allowing you to explore the valley temple and the causeway of King Khafre with your Egyptologist. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket, and the guide will be happy to assist.)
-
Menkaure Pyramid - The smallest pyramid on the Giza plateau, now standing at about 61 meters high, is unique due to the granite outer layer that remains on its lower part. The granite was sourced from Aswan, over 1000 kilometers from Giza.
-
Panoramic view of the Pyramids - Next, enjoy a visit to a panoramic viewpoint of the six pyramids and the city of Giza, where you will spend 30 minutes capturing photos and soaking in the view. The panorama is a fantastic spot to enjoy a camel ride.
