- Glencoe - Known for its stunning landscapes, Glencoe is also steeped in history as the site of the infamous Glencoe massacre of 1692. A visit to the Glencoe Visitor Centre provides an opportunity to delve into the glen’s past. The centre features a turf house, offering a glimpse into the life of the 500-600 strong community that resided here in the 17th century. The journey through the glen occurs twice, in the morning and evening, with stops for photos and to appreciate the scenery.
- Fort William - Situated in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Fort William is a charming holiday town. The tour passes through in the morning to join the enchanting ‘Road to the Isles’.
- Glenfinnan Viaduct - Ample time is allocated to explore Glenfinnan, where the views are truly spectacular. The 21 arches of the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct sweep through the glen, famously depicted as the route to Harry Potter’s Hogwarts. From April 2 to October, the aim is to arrive in time to witness the Jacobite Steam Train crossing. The Glenfinnan Monument, erected in 1815 to honor the Jacobites who fought for Bonnie Prince Charlie, is also accessible for those wishing to visit. (Please Note: The Jacobite steam train will not operate from September 1st to 5th, 2025.)
- Ardlui - After retracing the route through Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, the final stop of the evening is in the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Here, visitors can enjoy an early evening refreshment before returning to Glasgow.

Autumn sunshine. - What a lovely day we had with Tony. From the moment we were picked up in a comfortable mini coach, to when we were dropped back to the bus station in the evening we were given interesting facts and information which added to the experience of our tour. Everything about the day was planned thoughtfully with enough stops to stretch legs, have a comfort break or buy refreshments. When Tony was not talking to us he put background music or a commentary on to compliment the surroundings. The sun shone so the Autumn colours were beautiful. A great tour to get out of the city and see the Highlands.

Great tour - This was such a great tour. We saw many beautiful and interesting places. The tour operator was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also stopped to allow us to take photos of some of very beautiful scenery on the drive back. Loved it!

Amazing Tour through the Highlands - It was like a trip with the funny uncle you see twice a year!

From the Start it was a warm welcome from our Tour Gide Gary.
He made us feel like we are in a good place with our funny uncle we see twice a year.
He has his kind of way to catch you, so you feel like this is a big family trip.
I really liked it.
We started the tour in Glasgow and from minute one he gave us information about the city with some funny side notes.
Without wanting to give too much away about the tour, I can only speak for myself and my sister who did this tour with me. It was fantastic. You really get a great insight and forget about the hustle and bustle of the city for a moment. For all Harry Potter fans, this tour is definitely for you. Now let's get to the more useful tips for anyone interested: Definitely bring waterproof clothing or wear it if you book this trip in the fall. Waterproof shoes are a must! I also definitely recommend an umbrella and a rain jacket. So overall, dress warmly. In our case, we each had a backpack with snacks and camera equipment, which was worth it for us. However, you pass by plenty of spots where you can get coffee/tea and meals if you want. So if you're interested in a great tour where you see a lot and just want to unwind, then you're in the right place.
Discover Scotland is a family-run business, and you can really tell. I believe no matter which tour guide you get, it will be a fantastic tour. I can only say Gary, you were great, and I'm glad you were our tour guide.

It was amazing - We got the classic Highland weather to welcome us on the tour XD. Guys if you read this and you wanna do the tour in Autumn let me tell you to make sure you are perfectly protected against getting wet. For example, take some dry socks with you XD.
Our tour guide was Gary and he made it an amazing experience for me and my sister. We had so much fun. It was very informative, fun and the smaller group gave it a more familiar feeling which I really enjoyed. I prefer smaller tour groups and this was perfect.
Gary is such a funny guy, he made sure we had an amazing and awesome experience during the trip. Though it is a family business I am sure whatever guide you will get it is gonna be an awesome trip.
You see a lot and the Highlands are always a beautiful landscape no matter the time of the year. So yes, I recommend to book the tour and have a blast.

Just Do It! - This tour is long, but well worth it in scenery and experiences. The small bus is so much more preferable to one of the big honkin' ones that are so ubiquitous. Billy, our driver and guide, was awesome. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable day in the Highlands.
