A manual wheelchair access review (uk) - My partner has a manual wheelchair with smart drive attachment.
The was a blue badge space right in front of the entrance which were lucky enough to get. There are smooth access paths throughout the site.
One of the ticket ladies very patiently explained the site with a map, and provided times to be at certain places.
Even following the recommended direction, there were 2 short sharp slopes which we slowly reversed down with the brakes on, and one long slope where I pushed but the smart drive did the hard work.
Overall, I would say, this is worth the challenges presented. Very few ancient sites have this level of accessibility, and for us this was a great day out. It surpassed our expectations in its beauty. The staff were very attentive to wheelchair users. The cafe has accessible toilets.
The cafe was very well priced compared to other tourist sites, and we loved how quiet it was there (very few people on a Wednesday).

Superb site and museum - What a surprise! Firstly, we hired a car to get there, it's a bit far from other main attractions and the drive was approximately 40 min from Playa de las Americas. Located in a small town.
The site is very educational, great set up providing a lot of information on culture and history relating to pyramids, offering interesting views on our civilisation. It was lovely to walk around, surprisingly lots to do. We also watched a movie at the auditorium, shining some light on great mysteries of our history. We got premium tickets so we visited the poison garden as well. Well worth a visit, surprisingly we agreed it was the best thing we discovered on the island.

Something a bit different - This is our second visit here. It's an absolutely fascinating experience. The gardens are really interesting including a poison garden and an orchid garden. (Only open for 20 mins 12.30 to 12.50) The pyramids are interesting as its the history of the guanches who lived in Tenerife before the Spanish settlers. My favourite part is the ethnographic museum part all about the history of the people of Easter Island. There's a replica raft made from reeds which is pretty spectacular. Something here for most I would say. Probably not small children. The cafe is so so but ok. Definitely worth €18 visit.

Interesting also from a botanical point of view. - The pyramids are not as big as those in Egypt, yet the park is fascinating and welcoming. The premium ticket is recommended if you have enough time. A small café with the possibility to rest and refresh is attached to the bazaar.

Great documentary and interesting site - This is a fascinating place to visit so you can see and do something different in Tenerife. The documentary was especially worthwhile, because you learned a lot about Thor Heyerdal and about these pyramids and their connections to other pyramids in the world.
There was quite a bit of information around, which was good but honestly too much to take in.
I didn't like the difference between the premium and regular tickets. I think it should be one price for everything, not least because the premium ticket was made out to be so much better, but in the end it involved a quick timed look at a very small tropical flowers area and a wander through the poison garden. It wasn't worth the extra cost really.
Besides the documentary, the best part was walking around the pyramids and enjoying the views.

NICE PLACE - Nice place but should put better price for residents.
Regarding the place, do not ignore comments that say they are false. In the Canary Islands there were many pyramids, but they were buried, at the northern airport there were, like many sites that were buried by churches or hotels.
Spanish colonialism has an interest in putting an end to everything related to the Canary Islands with Africa because the Spanish state does not want to recognize the colonial situation of the Canary Islands.

A bit different to the rest of Tenerife - If you like the Aztec and Inca mysteries then you will love this place. Ancient stepped pyramids and terraces from about 600BCE. Preserved by Norwegian explorer Thor Hyerdahl this place is well worth 2-3 hours of your time. Free on street parking right outside the museum. There is an Easter Island, Rapa Nui exhibition in the grounds and a poison garden as well as the actual stone terraces and stepped pyramids. If you are expecting the Egyptian pyramids of Giza you will be disappointed, these are closer to Aztec or Inca in style. Well worth the visit and something a little different from the beach in Tenerife

Not what I expected - My boyfriend and I attended Pyramids of Guiimar via the premium ticket option on November 6th. Firstly, it was a terrible hike in the heat from the bus to the entrance. Once we arrived we expected the premium ticket option to have a tour for us and access to the Tropicarium, we didn’t, we would have to pay extra for a audio tour and the Tropicarium was locked up. I feel a bit ripped off paying for the premium when we got the basic package experience; luckily it’s the cheapest excursion to do. Although the pyramids are cool, it was a lack luster and not a fun walk around. It could have been time of year that there is not much bloomed in what I assumed was the “botanical gardens” My favourite part was seeing all the lizards running around and the roosters with their babies, as well as the facts and photos within the museum were interesting. We still had fun, just expected a little more.

Not a big deal. - To justify the price of the visit they built around the pyramids 3 gardens of imported plants and two museums of stolen artifacts. Interesting story of Thor (a total fool), when we went there most of the plants were dry.
The ticket price (€18 each) is definitely high compared to what you have to see
