- Piramides de Guimar - The Botanical Garden & Ethnographic Park Piramides de Güimar, nominated for the 2017 European Museum of the Year Award, is a large open-air museum that gathers several open-air routes and specialized gardens around six pyramidal structures oriented towards the sun on key astronomical dates.
The facilities of the Ethnographic Park, which covers more than 64,000m2, include the Casa Chacona Museum, the Auditorium and four outdoor routes (the Botanical Route, the Exportations Route, the Cultural Route and the Volcanic Route).
You can also visit the Sustainable Garden, the reproduction of a Canarian ravine, including European eels in a watercourse and presenting the characteristic flora of these environments in a sustainable way.

The Pirámides de Güímar Botanical Garden & Ethnographic Park, a contender for the 2017 European Museum of the Year Award, is an expansive open-air museum comprising several outdoor trails and specialized gardens surrounding six pyramid-like structures that align with the sun during important astronomical dates.
Encompassing over 64,000m2, the park’s facilities include the Casa Chacona Museum, an Auditorium, and four outdoor paths namely - the Botanical Path, the Exportations Path, the Cultural Path, and the Volcanic Path. Not to mention the Sustainable Garden, a visually pleasing setting that replicates a typical Canarian gulley over 1,000m2, complete with flowing water and native plant species. The only freshwater fish in the islands, the European eel, is also accommodated here.
The park further offers various ethnographic displays, vast gardens, picnic spots, a children’s playground, a cafe, and a shop to enhance your visit.
