Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m). 7-8 hours
Mount Manaslu - The journey begins with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola. The roads may be challenging, but the stunning views of rice fields, waterfalls, and lush greenery through the villages are truly captivating. Arkhet Bazaar is a fascinating old market, and the Arkhet Khola is a notable attraction. As you head north, youāll notice charming local houses with slate roofs and at least one lodge. Shared jeeps are available from Arughat to Soti Khola. This quaint village offers breathtaking landscapes and greenery. Overnight stay in Soti Khola.
Day 02: Trek from Sotikhola to Machha Khola. (863m) 6-7 hours
Mount Manaslu - The rugged and rocky path leads to the challenging section of the Budhi Gandaki basin, with several waterfalls along the way. Youāll pass through Liding, which has a campsite, and Lapubesi, a village nestled against a lush hill. The scenery is both mesmerizing and tranquil. The trail includes ups and downs over slippery rocks, with tropical vegetation enhancing the beauty as you cross thrilling suspension bridges to reach Machha Khola. This village, located on the hillsides, offers various accommodations and a medical clinic if needed. Overnight stay in Machha Khola.
Day 03: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m) 7-8 hours
Mount Manaslu - The trek to Tatopani follows narrow trails between Budhi Gandaki and a cliff. After an hour, youāll reach Dobhan, then Shyaule Bhatti, and finally Yaru, where the stunning cascades of Budhi Gandaki will leave you in awe. After 2-3 hours, youāll arrive in Jagat, where slate-paved streets await. The village offers a campsite and lodges with basic accommodations. The locals here earn their living through tourism, agriculture, education, and government services. Overnight stay in Jagat.
Day 04: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1860m) 6-7 hours
Mount Manaslu - Ascend the riverbed and climb over a rocky point to reach Salleri, offering views of Shringi Himal (7187m). Continue along the left bank of the Budhi Gandaki River and ascend to Philim. Cross north out of Philim on the marked track to Larkya-La (5160m) through dense forest with views of the narrowing valley. After an hour, reach Ekle Bhatti, then cross high above a spectacular gorge with pine trees. A gradual climb above Budhi Gandaki Gorge leads to Deng. Overnight stay in Deng.
Day 05: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2630m) 6-7 hours
Mount Manaslu - Cross the Budhi Gandaki River on a suspension bridge, climb to Rana, and then to Bihi. Navigate in and out of gorges, cross the Serang Khola to the north, and climb sharply before circling into Ghap. The Mani walls here feature intricate carvings of various Buddhas in meditation. Enter a beautiful fir forest with many birds, cross north on a wooden bridge along a narrow canyon. Arrive in the picturesque village of Namrung after about 1.5 hours of climbing from Ghap. Overnight stay in Namrung.
Day 06: Trek from Namrung to Samagaun. 7-8 hours
Mount Manaslu - The trail from Namrung passes through the charming small hill of Bhanzam, with barley fields and stone houses. Upon entering the village of Lihi, enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, including Manaslu (8163m). Cross Hinang Khola to reach Lho, dominated by a large Gompa on the hill slopes. The top offers an incredible vantage point for an uninterrupted view of Mount Manaslu (8163m). The trail from Lho ascends through a dense forest towards Shyala, which exudes a unique vibe with its closely packed stone and wood houses. The trail from Shyala traverses a slope draining Punggen Glacier to reach Sama Gaon through a flat area, where lovely yaks graze. Sama Gaon is a beautiful village with houses aligned in rows along a small river, offering breathtaking views of the Manaslu Himal Range. Overnight stay in Sama Gaon.
Day 07: Rest or acclimatize day in Sama Gaon
Mount Manaslu - Today is a rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization and relaxation. Spend the day exploring the surroundings of Sama and visit places like Birendra Tal, Manaslu Base Camp, PemaChyolingLhakang, and Punggen Gompa. Under the majestic Manaslu, enjoy an amazing day. Overnight stay in Sama Gaon.
Day 08: Trek from Sama Gaun to Samdo (3690m) 3-4 hours
Mount Manaslu - The trek ascends past the frozen Birendra Tal (3450m) beneath the Manaslu Glacier. Enjoy easy walking through yak pastures with long Mani walls, spotting marmots in all directions. Climb to a ridge and descend to cross the Budhi Gandaki River on a wooden bridge. It takes some time to reach the white Chorten above, but Samdo, a charming village dedicated to yak herding, is just behind. There are more animal and hay shelters than human accommodations. Overnight stay in Samdo.
Day 09: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m) 4-5 hours
Mount Manaslu - Descend past Samdo on a wide trail, crossing the reduced Budhi Gandaki River. Pass the trail to Tibet on the right and climb left past a Mani wall, navigating through juniper with many marmots. Cross two gorges on narrow tracks to reach Dharamsala, also known as Larke Phedi. Dharamsala is a stone hut with three rooms and an almost integral roof. The views from Dharamsala are spectacular, showcasing the entire Manaslu Himal Range. Overnight stay in Dharamsala.
Day 10: Trek from Dharamsala to Larkya La Pass (5160m) to Bimthang 8-9 hours
Mount Manaslu - Gradually climb over the edge behind Dharamsala and beside the large moraine of the Larke Glacier. The ascent is long and traverses rocky terrain. Descend past four frozen lakes and make a final climb to Larkya La (5160m), marked by prayer flags. From the pass, enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Manaslu Himal Range and Annapurna Range. Then, descend the moraine to the west and gently drop towards Bimthang. Overnight stay in Bimthang.
Day 11: Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani. 7-8 hours
Mount Manaslu - The trail south of Bimthang is enchanting. The lush vegetation and the trail crossing the foot of Bimthang Glacier offer a fantastic backdrop. It climbs to a beautiful spot adorned with prayer flags, surrounded by stunning mountain views, with the Manaslu Himal Range visible to the southeast. The trail then enters a magical forest rich with firs. After a while, it reaches a solitary house in Yak Kharka, where you can have lunch. The trail continues through the dense forest until reaching Goa. Overnight stay in Dharapani.
Day 12: Jeep from Dharapani - Beshisahar 3-4 hours
Mount Manaslu - Today, take an off-road jeep for a four-hour journey to Beshisahar. Gradually descend to reach Syange village, then ascend to Gharmu Phant before descending to Beshisahar.
Day 13: Bus drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu (1300m) 6-7 hours
Mount Manaslu - Today, drive back to Kathmandu from Besisahar, enjoying the stunning landscapes filled with lush hills and expansive river networks. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to a 5-star hotel for an overnight stay.
