Arusha to Tarangire
Tarangire National Park - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Arusha at 8:30 AM and driven to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch. The park features natural vegetation, primarily Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania’s dry season, the river and swamps attract a multitude of wild animals. Tarangire National Park is renowned for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Additionally, this park is home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings.
Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, travelers descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see. The destination is the central park area, known as the Seronera area, which is one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River provides a crucial water source, attracting a diverse array of wildlife representative of the Serengeti’s species. Arrival is in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, guests will meet their guide for a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park before departing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with an en-route game drive and picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is a unique conservation area, not a National Park, managed for both wildlife and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous animals.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Following breakfast, guests will descend into the crater for a 5-hour game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas globally, home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos.
With a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, the crater supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this stunning national park is its large population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the crater floor.
