- Cape Queen Elizabeth - Begin the island adventure with a breathtaking hike showcasing stunning coastal views along the Cape Queen Elizabeth trail. Although the full walk isn’t completed today, the journey to Mars Bluff, Miles Beach, and the unique rock formations is. The first 30-40 minutes offer an easy stroll along a wide, sandy track through coastal heathland, passing between Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon, home to numerous water birds. A 10-minute uphill hike over Mars Bluff provides a beautiful coastal vantage point. Descend onto the secluded Miles Beach to explore the unique rock formations, with ample time to enjoy and photograph the Arch before returning to the trail’s start. The walk covers approximately 6 kilometers and is rated as easy to moderate coastal walking.
