  Hoa Lu Ancient Capital: In 968, Dinh Bo Linh proclaimed himself King, establishing Hoa Lu as the capital for 41 years (968 – 1009). The first 12 years were under the Dinh Dynasty, led by King Dinh Tien Hoang, with the nation named Dai Co Viet. The subsequent 29 years were under the Le Dynasty, led by King Le Dai Hanh. In 1010, King Ly Thai To relocated the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long, now known as Hanoi, turning Hoa Lu into an ancient citadel. Today, two temples stand on the site of the old royal palace, one dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and the other to King Le Dai Hanh. This visit provides insight into the feudal dynasties and historical periods of Vietnam.
