Amazing experience! We... - Amazing experience! We saw a bunch of whales and were left in awe. They provide the gear to make sure you’re equipped for whale watching and the treats/drinks were so tasty!

Humpback whales in their natural environment. 🙂 - We went late October, when we went we had the whole ship for about 20 visitors, absolutely amazing. We saw many humpback whales which was surpring as the waters were fairly choppy. The cinnamon buns and hot chocolate was a real treat on the way back. I highly recommend this tour, absolutely well worth the money.

Very Highly Recommended - This whale watching adventure exceeded my wildest imagination! We saw and got quite close to 7 or 8 humpback whales and got some great photos. The guide was both very knowledgeable and quite affable. She was a significant highlight of the tour. We were also served hot chocolate and cookies on the journey back to Husavik. I also highly recommend checking out the restaurants and the whale museum in town. Very charming place and a truly unforgettable tour.

Fantastic Sightings, a Sustainable Tour with GREAT Tour Guides - This was the most brilliant tour, although a little cramped! We saw humpbacks and experienced a very rare encounter with pilot whales. Something that really struck me was the messaging around supporting whale watching businesses in this bay, as it protects this area, and the marine life within in, from hunting. I'd urge everyone to do one of these tours for that very reason. I chose this particular company due to their commitment to sustainability.

Unforgetable experience - I arrived at Husavik without planning The Whale Watching attraction.
In the last minute I decided me and my wife will do it and we didn't regret it a minute.
It was really unique, so pleasant and exciting. We could see and take pictures of the whales , a lot of information and stories from our very, very knowledgeable tour guide (the Portuguese young guy ) . All the team nice and accommodating.
Once in a life experience. Cinnamon bun and hot chocolate at the end of the tour.
Maybe it's a little expensive....but it worth it !!!

Unforgettable experience - must be on your bucket list - Whale watching is a truly special experience, especially when you're greeted by a clear and sunny sky in the morning.
We booked our tour with North Sailing, specifically the “Húsavík Original Whale Watching” experience. We made the reservation online six months in advance, as they offer free cancellation, which is great in case anything goes wrong.
The organization of the tour was excellent – before departure, you receive all the necessary information and protective clothing. The captain and the tour guide Gosha (a marine biologist) were very dedicated and actively searched for whales. We were lucky and saw quite a few!
For a more authentic experience, the captain turned off the boat’s engines, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. We even had a close encounter with one of the whales, which swam right under our boat and gently bumped into us. The guide said this had never happened before and that it was truly an exceptional experience.
At the end of the tour, they spoiled us with hot chocolate and cinnamon buns – and what could be better than enjoying a treat while watching the last close encounters with whales swimming right next to the boat?
An unforgettable experience – highly recommended!

Take This Tour if You are in Húsavík - We booked ourselves for a 2-hour whale watching boat ride but spent a thrilling 3 hours 45 minutes on the boat watching humpback whales. bottle-nosed dolphins and pilot whales. The first hour went by without any sightings, then we saw one whale which we followed, and then a second. Then suddenly all hell broke loose; our guide (and a passionate whale lover) got deliriously excited as he spotted, first, a pod of dolphins and then, soon after, a school of pilot whales. There were a bunch of researchers on the boat who were equally excited as this was apparently an uncommon sighting, very rarely seen. The crew indulged is by following the two species around, not caring that we were well past the return time. Thanks to them we were able to witness in great company and confirm what was a unique sighting. A big thank you to North Sail and the crew of Gardar who took us on the 11 am ride on 28 September.

Do NOT go in April - This was the most terrible tour I've ever been on. We set off and within the first 15 minutes I knew we would see no whales. Even though the wind had been calm on shore and there was a 0% chance of precipitation, the waves were unreal and it started snowing. My husband got sick right away, despite having taken Dramamine, and it was so bitterly cold we didn't know how we would survive the full 3 hours. By the end, 90% of the people aboard were throwing up over the edge. Truly a horrible experience for everyone. I'm shocked reading the other reviews about how the guides would tell interesting facts and even have marine biologists aboard. Our guide told us very minimal, general things and nothing that we didn't already know. Since we didn't see any whales they gave us a ticket to come back and do it again for free anytime, but you couldn't pay me enough to get back on that boat.
I knew going in April was early in the season, but from how they were talking it sounds like they had seen any whales yet this year at all. It's absurd they can allow people to have such a horrific experience and charge that much. If there is no chance of seeing whales and the seas are that rough, they need to give people a warning and allow people to cancel, or not offer tours at all in April.
