Family crafting in lovely shop - A creative crafting session with nice and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of masks to start from, but inquire if a specific model is wanted. The workshop is held in a separate studio from main store, but still offer hundreds of masks for inspiration.
Each staff member paints masks as well as alternate to host the workshop. Our hostess was very helpful overall with an introduction in basic techniques and offering additional tools and colors as well as advice when requested. As the eight staff members have their individual styles you may deep dive if wanted (time and crowd permitting).
Most enjoyable if not too many (up to 10), multiple groups may book the same time. However they handle large groups (20+) but the space will be limited.

Awesome! - Is one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever done. We were able to paint masks and let them dry and while we did so the woman who ran the shop was teaching us how to add subtle accents in details. She made sure they looked good… Even the ones done by the kids. I would recommend this to any family that wants to really know what it’s like to do mask making in Venice. The best part was well. She has a lovely shop. There was no pressure to buy. Really recommend.

Great moment of creation - A magical moment with your family!
Don’t hesitate, it’s a good idea to spend a moment in Venice a little different from the classic tours!
Our 9 and 7 year old daughters loved it and to be able to do this in French is a real plus:-)

Great hands on Carnevale workshop !! - I was traveling with college students. We enjoyed this hands on Carnevale experience!! We each chose a blank mask to paint. There were many options of paint and sizes of brushes. We could have stayed two hours! They helped us dry the masks and packed them in bags for safe carrying.

Good not great - Good not great. Felt more like a here’s some paints and paper mache mask, have fun. There was no history on Venice mask making or how it evolved. Expected at least 10 minutes on masks as a part of Venician culture. Didn’t even get that. We had fun painting the masks but would’ve loved for my half Italian half Irish daughter to have learned a bit about Venice through the creative experience.

Never made it to the activity - Never made it to the activity due to a last minute aknowlegment that there was public vaporeto strike and we couldn't make it on time.Activity hostess did not offer any alternative 😒 dates although we were 4 in the group and kindly msg when realised we couldnt make it on time! Such a shame...such a disappointment for the kids
