It also includes dining halls, landscaped gardens, and collections of religious artworks and artifacts.

• Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) - Once the heart of Taiwan’s gold mining industry, the villages of Chiufen now offer charming scenery and a fascinating look into historical lifestyles. Although the gold is gone, these quaint villages, with their closely-packed houses on steep mountainsides, continue to enchant visitors.
