1-Day Jinja Source of the Nile Tour

Uganda Source of the Nile - The tour begins with the driver-guide picking up participants at 9:00 am for a journey to Jinja. The early start helps avoid city traffic, with the first stop at Ssezibwa Falls, followed by a visit to Mabira Forest. This forest is the only remaining lowland tropical rainforest in central Uganda and is a top destination for nature and forest walks, offering opportunities to see birds and primates. Participants will enjoy a one-hour nature walk in the forest, arriving in Jinja in time for lunch. Lunch is served at a hotel in Jinja, followed by a visit to the source of the Nile. A boat cruise takes participants to the spot where the first European, John Speke, identified the source of the Nile River, observing the water diverging from Lake Victoria.

After visiting the source of the Nile River, the tour continues with a drive through Jinja town for a city tour, showcasing the diverse architecture of what was once Uganda’s industrial hub. Following the city tour, the journey back to Kampala begins, concluding the trip.

• Our guide who will pick them up and take them for the tour will come with them at the starting points and pay for their entrance fees on the day of the tour or when they start the tour. The travellers need to travel with our guide who will pay for their entry fees. We shall also need a screen shot of each travellers passport showing the page that shows the details of each traveller in advance at least two days before each traveller travels in order to be able to pay for their entrance fees.
