The path follows the beautiful Dudh Koshi River to Phakding village. Overnight stay in Phakding.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11352ft) - 5 hours/14km.
Namche Bazaar - Departing Phakding, the trek continues upstream along the Dudh Koshi River towards Monjo village, passing picturesque waterfalls. At Monjo, obtain the Sagarmatha National Park permit. The trail proceeds through Jorsalle, crossing suspension bridges en route to Namche Bazaar, the largest village in the Everest Region. Enjoy the stunning view of the Kongde Ri range. Overnight in Namche.
Rest day for Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar/Explore around
Khumjung - Today is a rest day, perfect for exploring the village. A short hike to Khumjung and Khunde villages is recommended. After exploring Namche Bazaar, trek uphill for an hour to reach Khumjung Monastery, home to the preserved remains of the Yeti. Pass the scenic Syangboche Airport on the way to Khunde village. Visit the Edmund Hillary School before returning to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche.
Trek to Tengboche (3750m/12705ft) - 5 hours/14km.
Tyangboche - Depart Namche Bazaar, trekking upstream along the Dudh Koshi River. A steep ascent leads to Phunki Tenga village. The trail offers mesmerizing views of Ama Dablam (6856m) and ascends over 427 meters. Tengboche village hosts the largest monastery in the Everest Region, Tengboche Monastery, which celebrates Tibetan-Buddhism history and the annual Mani Rimdu festival in October. Overnight in Tengboche.
Trek to Dingboche (4350m/14355ft) - 5 hours/14km.
Dingboche - Start the day with a view of Ama Dablam (6856m) in the east. After breakfast, begin the trek. Leaving Tengboche, trek uphill along the Dudh Koshi River to Debuche village. Transition from forested paths to rocky terrain. The trail descends to the Imja Khola (River) and ascends again towards Pangboche village. Pass thousands of Mani stones en route to Shomare. The day concludes at Dingboche, a remote Sherpa village. Overnight in Dingboche.
Rest day - Acclimatization
Trek to Lobuche (4900m/16170ft) - 5 hours/10km.
Lobuche - Depart Dingboche, climbing towards Lobuche village. The trail passes Pheriche and Thukla village. After leaving Pheriche, ascend to Thukla, home to the Climber’s memorial park, honoring climbers who perished on Mount Everest. Continue uphill along the Lobuche Glacier to Lobuche village. Overnight in Lobuche.
Trek to Gorakshep (5130m/16929ft) - 2 hours - Excursion to EBC (5364m/17701ft) - 5 hours round trip
Everest Base Camp - Depart Lobuche, climbing towards Gorakshep village. The trail ascends along the Lobuche and Khumbu Glaciers. After a brief rest, embark on an excursion to Everest Base Camp. The trail rises eastward along Khumbu Glacier. Enjoy views of the climber’s base camp, Khumbu Glacier, and Khumbu Icefall. Visible mountains include Pumo Ri (7165m), Lingtren (6749m), Khumbutse (6608m), and Nuptse Peak (7861m). Return to Gorakshep for the night. Overnight in Gorakshep.
Trek to Pheriche (4250m/14025ft) - 5 hours/12km.
Pheriche - Start early for a hike to Kala Patthar, a tourist landmark in the Everest Region. After a challenging climb, reach the top for views of Mount Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8516m), Khumbutse (6608m), Pumo Ri (7165m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). Return to Gorakshep, then trek downhill along the Lobuche Glacier to Pheriche. Overnight in Pheriche.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11352ft) - 6 hours/15km.
Namche Bazaar - Depart Pheriche, descending past Dingboche to Pangboche. The trail drops to the Imja River and ascends again. Stop briefly at Debuche village before reaching Tengboche. After lunch, continue downstream along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing Phunki Tenga to reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche.
Trek to Lukla (2800m/9240ft) - 8 hours/20km.
Lukla - Wake up to the stunning view of Kongde Ri Peak (6137m). After breakfast, trek downhill, crossing Jorsalle to Monjo. Exit Sagarmatha National Park and descend to Phakding village for lunch. A short trek leads back to Lukla. Celebrate the trek’s completion in the evening. Overnight in Lukla.
Fly to Kathmandu (1295m/4273ft) - 35 minutes
Kathmandu - Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying the mountainous panorama. Before landing, view the city and some UNESCO World Heritage Sites from above. Drive to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu.
