Kathmandu - Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from K.J. Adventures will warmly welcome you. They will assist with your transfer to the hotel and facilitate the check-in process. You will then receive a detailed briefing about the adventure programs. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation. (1,300m/4,264ft)

Kathmandu - This day is dedicated to exploring the Kathmandu Valley, famously known as the city of temples. Out of the 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, 7 are located within the Kathmandu Valley. You will visit notable sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath, all of which are rich in architecture and historical importance. After sightseeing, there will be a briefing on trekking essentials and preparation of backpacks for the following day. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Drive to Pokhara. (827m/2,700ft)

Pokhara - The journey continues with a drive to Pokhara, the city of lakes. The 6-hour drive along the Trishuli River via the Prithvi Highway offers a scenic experience. Along the route, you will see terraced fields, rivers, small settlements, bustling towns, and tranquil mountain views. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can either stroll around the Lakeside and shop or relax at the hotel.

Drive to Phedi and Trek to Pitam Deurali. (2,100m/6,720ft)

Deurali - After breakfast, an hour’s drive takes you to Phedi, where the trek to Pitam Deurali begins. The trail initially ascends through steep stone steps in the forest. A lunch break is taken at Dhampus. Post-lunch, the trek continues with a gentle walk to the village of Pitam Deurali, offering stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.

Trek to Forest Camp. (2,520m/8,064ft)

Deurali - Departing from the picturesque village of Pitam Deurali, the trek proceeds to Forest Camp. The path leads through secluded trails shaded by dense forests. The journey is accompanied by rhododendron, birch, oak, and maple trees. After approximately 5-6 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Forest Camp, a quaint settlement nestled within dense woodlands. Overnight at a local lodge.

Trek to High Camp. (3,540m/11,328ft)

Trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m/14,764ft) and Return to High Camp. (3,540m/11,328ft)

Trek to Siding. (1,700m/5,440ft)

Trek to Lumre and Drive to Pokhara. (827m/2,700ft)

Pokhara - Following an early breakfast, the descent to the village of Lumre begins, followed by a drive back to Pokhara. In the afternoon, you can either relax at the hotel or explore the vibrant Lakeside area and the city of Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel.

Drive to Kathmandu. (1,300m/4,264ft)

Kathmandu - After breakfast, the journey back to the lively city of Kathmandu begins. Upon hotel check-in, there is time to relax and refresh. In the afternoon, you can wander through the alleyways of Thamel for souvenir shopping. In the evening, a farewell dinner will be held to celebrate the successful trek. Overnight at the hotel.

Kathmandu - Departure day has arrived! Depending on your flight schedule, a representative from K.J. Adventures will collect you from the hotel and escort you to the airport for your final departure.

The Mardi Himal Trek is a recently established trekking destination in the Himalayan region. Situated to the east of the Annapurna Base Camp, which is among Nepal’s most renowned trekking routes, Mardi Himal is often regarded as a hidden treasure by adventure enthusiasts. Unlike many trekking spots in Nepal, only a few travelers venture through the narrow, winding roads to reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp. The Mardi Himal Trek is relatively shorter in distance but just as rewarding as any other trekking destination in Nepal. This trek provides an opportunity to explore off-the-beaten paths in the highlands, along winding trails, through enchanting forests, high valleys, and traditional settlements.
