After a few hours, ascend Moldo Ashuu Pass, standing at 3220 meters, via a stunning road lined with evergreen trees. A spectacular view of the alpine lake Song Kol, surrounded by rugged mountains, unfolds at the pass. Enjoy driving along the southern shore of the lake, dotted with nomads’ yurts, all the way to your yurt. Overnight stay and dinner in a yurt.
SONG KOL LAKE TO ISSYK KUL LAKE
Bokonbayevo - Driving distance: 225 km
Breakfast. Take a 2-3 hour walk or choose horse riding around this alpine lake to capture the best views and observe shepherds engaged in morning activities. Lunch in a yurt. After lunch, drive to Kochkor city via Kalmak Ashuu Pass. Spot some grazing yaks around the pass. Make a brief stop in Kochkor to visit souvenir shops featuring locally handmade rugs and carpets. Then proceed to the camp on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Arrive at Bel Tam yurt camp and settle in. Walk to the lake shore and enjoy swimming in the clear waters. Dinner in a yurt camp.
TO JETI OGUZ GORGE THROUGH FAIRY TALE CANYON AND BARSKON WATERFALL
Jeti-Oguz Canyon (Seven Bulls Rocks) - Driving distance: 150 km
After breakfast, continue driving to Kok Jaiyk summer camp in Jeti Oguz Valley. En route, take a detour to visit Fairy Tale Canyon, featuring fantastic rocks in various shapes and stunning colors. Capture photos while exploring. Then proceed to Barskon, one of Kyrgyzstan’s finest waterfalls, where you can admire three waterfalls. Enjoy an easy hike around these waterfalls amidst lush evergreen trees. Continue the journey to Jeti Oguz Valley, a 1-hour drive. Arrive at Kok Jaiyk summer camp and stay in a yurt camp.
RADIAL DAY HIKE TOWARDS THE OGUZ BASHY PEAK – KARAKOL CITY
Karakol - Trekking distance: 15km, Ascent: 340 meters
Embark on an easy hike to witness the breathtaking panoramic view of Oguz Bashy peak, located in the heart of the Tian-Shan Mountain Range. Depart the yurt camp early in the morning after breakfast. From the trailhead, follow the roadbed along the rushing Jety Oguz river. As you ascend, stunning white mountain peaks gradually come into view. Reach the viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful scenery and take stunning photos. Have lunch. After lunch, hike back to the camp. Meet the driver, get in the car, and transfer to Karakol City, a 1-hour drive. Enjoy dinner in a delightful local restaurant and stay overnight in a hotel.
TO BISHKEK CITY
Bishkek-City - Driving distance: 405 km
Travel to Bishkek city. Along the way, visit the open-air petroglyphs in Cholpon Ata and the architectural complex of Burana Tower, dating back to the 10th to 11th century, an important site on the Great Silk Road. Arrive in Bishkek. Drop off at your hotel. End of the tour.
