Kigali Genocide Memorial - At 8:30 am, an English-speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for a brief orientation. You’ll visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and then travel to the eastern region of Rwanda, passing through picturesque landscapes. Enjoy views of farmlands, local markets, and communities on your way to Akagera National Park, which is home to the African Big 5 and a variety of wildlife. A lunch stop is included en route.

Akagera National Park - Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive where you can see buffalo, antelopes, warthogs, elephants, and zebras.

Akagera National Park - Day 2 in Akagera begins at 7:00 AM with a sunrise boat cruise on Lake Ihema, lasting 1.5 hours. You’ll see over 50 hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and zebras. Starting at 9:00 AM, set out on a comprehensive full game drive through Akagera’s varied African savannah, hills, and jungle.

Spot the African Big 5 (lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos) along with giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many other mammals.

Around 4:00 PM, you’ll leave the park for your return journey to Kigali, arriving at approximately 6:15 PM for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
