Perast - Perast is renowned as one of Montenegro’s most stunning Baroque towns. Once a bustling hub for sailors, it continues to captivate with its exquisite architecture, charming churches, and picturesque waterfront.
Perast boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century. As a center for mariners, captains, and sailors, the town flourished and amassed wealth by the 16th century. A stroll through the old town reveals many splendid villas and magnificent buildings, all beautifully restored.
Within the old town’s narrow streets, there are approximately 16 different churches. The Church of St. Nicholas is perhaps the most renowned and a major attraction, featuring a 55-meter-high bell tower, the tallest structure in the Bay.
Visitors can explore Bujovic Palace in the old town. This architectural gem is situated directly on the sea promenade and is the only palace in town open for interior visits.

Our Lady of the Rocks - After enjoying free time in Perast, visitors will head to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, home to a church built in the 17th century. This is the only man-made island in the Adriatic, created by sinking old ships and placing stones around a small crag.
The church houses a revered 15th-century icon of the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of the Rocks, and features an altar crafted from Carrara marble by the Genovese sculptor Antonio Capelano.
Due to the church’s significance to the region, its interior is richly adorned with numerous art gifts accumulated over time.
Behind the church, a small museum is dedicated to the history of Perast. The courtyard in front is referred to as the “Place of Reconciliation.” Today, the small island church serves as a cultural center for the Catholics of Boka.
