- Kruja Castle - Kruja fortress gained prominence in the fifteenth century when the national hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg, established his headquarters during the resistance against the Ottoman conquest. The fortress has an elliptical shape with a circumference of 804 meters, covering an area of 2.5 hectares, and is situated on a rocky hill. Archaeological excavations in 1978 revealed that the hill has been inhabited since the 3rd century BC, while the fortress was constructed around the 5th-6th century AD. Within the fortress, visitors can explore the Skanderbeg & Ethnographic Museum and the Dollma Masjid.
- Old Bazaar (Pazari i Vjeter) - The tour will proceed through the Kruja bazaar, which stretches along both sides of a cobblestone road leading to the fortress. Locals refer to it as Derexhiku Bazaar. The bazaar has been operational since the time of Scanderbeg in the 15th century, with shops extending to the fortress entrance. Today, visitors can find a variety of local products, including handmade wool carpets, traditional clothing, tools, and more.
- Rozafa Castle - The fortress of Shkodra offers breathtaking views of Shkodra Lake, the confluence of the Buna and Drini Rivers, and extends to the Adriatic Sea. Known as Rozafa, this ancient monument is perched on a rocky hill at the city’s southeastern entrance. It stands 130 meters above sea level, surrounded by the Buna and Drin Rivers, covering an area of nearly 9 hectares. Visitors can explore the three courts of the fortress, designated for the Army, Trade, and the Commander. An enchanting legend adds to the allure of the visit.
- Shkoder - Following the visit to Kruja, the journey continues to Shkodra, located on the shores of Shkodra Lake in northern Albania. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the city’s pedestrian streets, which showcase a strong Venetian architectural influence. Shkodra is often referred to as the “bike town” due to the widespread use of bicycles as the primary mode of transportation during the communist era.
