A memorable immersion into KL's food culture! - What a brilliant day to start our KL visit with A Chef’s Tour! We were lucky to have Kiran Grewale as our guide…I have nicknamed her Mrs WWW - Warm Wow Wikipedia! She filled up us not only with tasty food but also titbits about KL and all over the world! Taking us from Chow Kit market up to Petronas, we discovered Kl and its food in another light. The 4 hour tour was so engrossing, we hardly felt tired. It was so much more than just food, it was a delightful immersion into KL’s culture. We also sampled delicious food in non touristy outlets, local vendors in safe and hygienic environments. And Kiran was so much more than an information guide. She wove a group of strangers into sharing about ourselves, discovering together, so much so that when we left each other, it felt like leaving good friends. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!

3rd chef tour and excellent as always - This was my third chef-led food tour in a third country, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. I joined Jay’s tour in Kuala Lumpur, and every moment was outstanding. Jay was not only knowledgeable and engaging but also incredibly thoughtful—she even helped us stay dry when an unexpected downpour hit, which speaks volumes about her care for the guests. The sampling throughout the tour was a delight. Each stop was more surprising than the last, both in flavor and in the cultural insight Jay shared. The background stories added real depth to the experience, elevating it far beyond just a tasting. Pro tip: Try everything—you’ll discover flavors you didn’t expect to love. Just pace yourself early on because the variety is so generous, it’s nearly impossible to eat everything in one go. 😄 Highly recommended for curious food lovers looking to explore KL’s culinary soul with a seasoned guide.

Best food tour ever! - This tour was above and beyond my expectations! I am solo travelling and this is the perfect activity to meet new people! If it’s your first time in Malaysia it is an absolute must as you get to know the city a little better and try foods you would never even think to order and go places you wouldn’t see on your own. Ian was an absolutely outstanding tour guide the best I’ve ever had on any trip! This tour was perfect and a must must do for anyone travelling!

A must-try tour! - We only had one full day in Kuala Lumpur and we wanted to experience as much of the food on offer in the city so we chose this tour and oh my god it did not disappoint! Ian, our foodie guide for the day did so much more than just bring us around the various local food establishments, he made it an unforgettable experience, providing us with his deep knowledge of Malaysia, its history, the people, and of course, the food! His energy elevated the entire experience, taking us to the markets and explaining the ingredients used by the everyday Malaysian, introducing us to the fruits, the drink and the dishes of the different groups that make up Malaysian culture.

Food trail with Taste of Food and Culture with Ian Yeow the joyful cheerful Guide. - We have taken our food tour on last day of our trip. Me along with my wife and 6 years old son have taken this food trip to get the real taste of malaysian food. We got the guide Ian on the location. He was very good in giving information on starting of the tour. We started by visiting the stalls of fruits, vegetable, fish and chicken stalls where Ian informed us about the ingridents used in Malaysian food. There were people from different age groups in our tour. But all of us enjoyed the food the talk and walk and the helpful nature of ian. At first we visited the Indian Muslim Mamak hotel where he had noodles, chana roti and sweet roti along with cold coffe based and lemon based drinks. Here we also had veroius indegineous fruits like Rambutan, Mangosteen etc. From here we went to Mamam Place restaurants to taste the falooda like ice based cold affair Named Cendol which was good. Also we tried Durian fruit came to know its origin history but its taste was very strong smelly so didnt liked. Then sitting there we has a sweet crape. After that we headed to try the malaysian chinese food like chicken ball soup and macrel roasted. Good taste 10/10. Had chicken satay on the way from local stall. Then we go to the Hotel Named Nasi Lemak 'Wanjo' at Kampung Bharu area. This was a nice place with Ac hall. Here we had chicken sambhal a malaysian dish. Had chict chat , some advice from the guide on personal life. Some words of practical life to the young one. The we had again some satay on another joint and in last had mango shakes in hand and came on Saloma bridge for photo shoot with petronos towers in back ground where we have our individual photos but i insisted of group photo which was taken by local guys with a charge of 5 MR. But they had flash so photo was good for memory and in last the tour ended near the petronos tower. We were on tour for near about 5 hours but it was never a dull moment in it and it was due the cheerfull and helpful nature of our Guide Ian Yeow. Thank you ian for lovely memories of the food trail and it was every penny worth which we have paid for this.
