Learn the precise brush techniques to craft stunning kanji characters. Exceptional Japanese calligraphy embodies not only beauty but also rhythm, with the calligrapher’s emotional state playing a crucial role. Even beginners will be able to write characters as beautifully as a Japanese student.

Select your favorite kanji from a diverse range and write your name in Japanese alongside your exquisite kanji. Kanji is the Chinese-style script used in Japan. After the class, you’ll have a beautiful piece of calligraphy art to cherish as a memento.

*Please bring socks. We do not enter the Japanese room without socks, as it is considered impolite.

Children under 12 years old are not permitted. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will not be able to conduct the class.

For this event, we have a wide variety of Japanese words and phrases in kanji character you might want to incorporate into your writing. Feel free to choose any that you’d like to experiment with!

Naturally, you can take your own calligraphy home, presentable and protected with beautiful traditional Japanese paper!
