- Ala do Castelo - The best food in Lagos will be enjoyed next at Ala do Castelo. A gourmet Cataplana, the famous Algarvian seafood stew, prawns, mussels, clams, monkfish cooked in the copper Cataplana. The name of the utensil and the dish share the name. To soak up the sauces weºll have some of Sabir´s delicious garlic toast and weºll wash it all down with some home made sangria.
- Mr Toast Lagos - A quick visit to Mr Toast to see Tiago and enjoy some Pasteis de Bacalhau and an Imperial (small beer). This dish was a finalist in the 7 wonders of portuguese gastronomy. A great chance to catch up the way local Portuguese people would with some fresh food and a beer in hand
- O Moinho Bar & Grill - This fabulous restaurant with great outside dining options will provide another chance for us all to wine and dine together. When in season, fresh sardines a true taste of Portugal. Also a couvert, the Portuguese term for small bites before the main meal, consisting of bread, olives, chees, pates. When sardines are out of season we´ll try some other Atlantic caught fish, either Dourada (Golden Sea Bream) or Robalo (Sea Bass). The drink with our fish will of course be Vinho Verde or Green wine the famous Portuguese wine produced in the northwest of the country. The green stands for young as this wine should be enjoyed soon after purchase and not kept to age. It´s actually a white wine with a slightly spakling flavour and the alcohol content is slightly lower.
- Snack Bar Sudoeste - Lets finish this great day out with a BICA cheia (full expresso and a Maciera (Portuguese brandy) and of couse the most famous Portuguese cuisine of all, a pastel de nata. A great place to finish as it´s one of the most authentic restaurants close to the old town of Lagos.
