A vehicle will collect guests from their hotel and transport them to Lampa, a charming town affectionately called “The Pink City” because of its pink clay-colored walls and tiled rooftops. A key attraction is a colonial temple constructed between 1675 and 1685, boasting marble floors and walls, and built with fieldstone, ashlar, and lime. Inside, visitors can admire a plaster sculpture of Saint James the Apostle, a depiction of The Last Supper, and several paintings from the Cusco School. The tour also includes a visit to the Colonial Bridge, crafted from ashlar stone, which provides stunning views of the extinct Coachico volcano and the surrounding scenery. The journey continues to the municipal palace, a two-story building that contains a library with a plaster replica of Michelangelo’s La Pietà, imported from the Vatican. After exploring the church, its catacombs, the library, the bridge, and a chinchilla farm, guests will be returned to their hotel.
