You will be picked up from the Las Vegas Strip and taken on a 45-minute journey to Historic Boulder City, known as “The town that built Hoover Dam.” This delightful town offers a nostalgic experience with a self-guided tour. Explore antique shops, renowned eateries, and the Boulder Dam Motel and Museum, which offers free admission and intriguing exhibits about this distinctive city. Established as a worker’s camp in the 1930s, Boulder City still exudes the charm and atmosphere of its early days.
Some of the numerous sites and activities you can enjoy independently include:
- Historic Boulder Dam Hotel
- Numerous antique shops
- Delightful cafes with indoor and outdoor seating
- Hoover Dam Museum (free, located inside Boulder Dam Hotel)
- Boulder Bowl, a quaint bowling alley since 1947
- Art Walk, featuring bronze statues around town, both historical and whimsical
- A variety of food & drink options, including a wine shop, brewery, ice cream, and more
- Centrally located within a few blocks, making it easy to explore and enjoy at your leisure
- Children 1 year old or under, not occupying their own seat (lap child) and not exceeding accompanying adults may participate at no charge
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the vehicle during the tour. NPE tour staff reserves the rights to refuse guests who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol; these guests will not be eligible for a refund.

Fantastic Boulder city self tour - Fantastic day out .We did the tour last year it was really great and we wanted to go back to do it again and see the parts we missed .After today we will definately be going back to boulder city again .Highly recommend .Dan Armstrong was our tour driver and guide he was brilliant really friendly very knowledgeable and easy to listen to . He relaxed the group and got us all excited with his high energy .Brilliant day .

Wayne was a great tour guide! - Wayne was great. Made sure we got on the bus and was very thorough. Also a very good driver and made us feel safe. He gave alot of good info about Vegas! Would definitely recommend him!

A great way to get away from all the noise is Vegas! - We enjoyed our afternoon in Boulder City. Much calmer than Vegas. Quaint, neat shops and restaurants many with history dating back to the construction of the Hoover Dam. The old hotel/inn has a great Hoover Dam Museum/exhibits. Has a film at the end that is good too. Not only talks about the dam construction but goes into how the workers lived there in Boulder City.
We were picked up at Treasure Island, not far from our hotel and dropped off at Boulder City. The bus driver was very hospitable and knowledgeable about Las Vegas and the Boulder City area. Most on the bus traveled on to the Hoover Dam. We were picked up on their way back and dropped off at Treasure Island. A definite must to get away from all the lights and stimulation of Las Vegas. If you have never seen the Hoover Dam, this tour is a great opportunity to do both!

GREAT TRIP, GREAT TOUR GUIDE - All I can say is AMAZING. Paulie was AMAZING, he kept a wonderful schedule, knew what he was doing and SO accommodating. I would go back on any tour with this company. Paulie was SO KNOWLEDGE!!!! VERY impressed and VERY happy. We had a bucket list experience for our 10 year anniversary!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!

Boulder city-hidden gem. - Lovely quaint small town, full of bric a brac/ antique shops. Had a fabulous brunch at coffee cup cafe! Great local beer at boulder dam brewery company and watched the world go by!
