Wonderful journey - Our trip was wonderful in every respect .. Peru is a beautiful country and its people are extremely kind and friendly. But the real pearl were the agency’s services, great credit to the guides, good, prepared, empathetic and fun. We could not ask for more on our trip. A thank you from the bottom of our heart goes to Nico Perci for the first part of the trip, with his information and anecdotes .. Carmen who pampered us like a sweet mother, Janet who made us discover Lake Titikaka .. and Reinaldo who accompanied us to Machu Picchu with great attention and kindness. We will never forget you♥️

Sensational - We went to Arequipa, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Calientes/Machu Pichu and Lima in 12 days. The Vipac agency was sensational, everyone we relate to - guides, drivers and backpacker. We got very safe, one of the best agencies we've ever had.

Comfortable, well planned tour - Short? The tour agency was great, each place we had someone accompanying us but also plenty of free time, the transport was clean, plenty legroom and most tour guides speak English well. The drivers were good too (not once did I get sick in the car despite the serpentines ahah). Perfect if you want your kids (daughters) travel safely in Peru. Okay so here’s a quick backstory: My parents been in Peru about 20 years ago and were impressed. They wanted us to see it too (me, 21, my sis, 18) but were worried about our safety. So a guided tour was our best option. Together with my dad, we spent months planning our itinerary. We had 12 days to see most landmarks and here’s the catch: Ballestas or Nazca? I regret watching too many travel bloggers on tt who altered my perception and so i chose Ballestas instead (even tho i was fascinated by Nazca lines since i was a child :( (which i now regret). But yeah for 12 days straight we had an organized plan: when to wake up, where and when will be picked up and dropped off, most guides/drivers speak English, but if you speak Spanish you’ll feel more comfortable ahhah (my sis speaks Italian, I speak French and German with Russian are kinda useless there). I won’t go thru all sighsteeings just more or less a general take away. Sacred Valley was the first thing we got to see and it served as this build up - the hotel was truly lovely! It was a great introduction to Inca Empire’s heritage. Then was the Inca Rail ride to the town next to Machu Picchu (Aguas Cal.). Dressed in Incan clothes, singing and dancing workers of IR lead us to the train. We were lucky and got upgraded, you can imagine it as this Orient Express-type of train, very clean and chic. Then was Ag.Cal. And Machu Picchu which is as amazing as you imagine. Truly unique. You can ask the bus driver to stop at Mariposarium (you’ll have to walk back to the town yourself - about 15-20 mins, very nice scenery). It’s a nice stop because we already saw so many butterflies and it was a nice breather ahah Cusco was beautiful but I had altitude sickness so I had to skip Vinicunca (my sis had no al-s. So she went there with a Spanish speaking group). Titicaca left me with mixed feelings. On one side Taquile really had this charm and even tho it was cold and pouring I really loved it (bring cash cause they had the best hand made knitted headbands, scarves etc), uros on the other hand was a bit disappointing (my mom been telling me about the floating islands my entire life and how cool they were). And while it’s a truly unique place and I’ve never seen anything like that before and it’s crazy how ppl actually live there, it felt tacky, plastic and touristy… now that’s my impression and honestly I get the reasons why. Anyhow I got beautiful tapestry for home. I’d say best thing is to wind down your expectations 😝 thx mom You want believe how happy I was to go back to the sea level. Lima welcomed us with warm sunny weather and honestly I loved the beach (I’m a sea person at the end of the day). Not for swimming, even tho the water was warm, but just a stroll, we saw lots of surfers. Then we went to Paracas and it’s probably the only somewhat disappointing part of the trip. We were dropped off at the hotel, the best description would be занюханный but idk the English alternative. The sea was dirty and stinky. There’s really not that much to do other than Ballestas Islands and the National Park. We had a boat tour to Ballestas next morning, we were dropped off at this fancier hotel with nice gardens. They offered coffee and croissants/pain au chocolat before departure and let me tell you those pastries were just as good as any from a French boulangerie. We saw the Candelabra (geoglyph) and then headed to the Ballestas. I really wanted to see the penguins, but we just saw a couple on top of the cliff. So don’t trust those travel bloggers, it’s really luck. The guys I talked to at IR station showed me pictures and even they had more penguins ahahha. Again. That’s MY IMPRESSION AND EXPECTATIONS Ahhahah. Anyway, we soon went back to the hotel, and in the evening came back to Lima. Next and final day we had a tour around the city (my inner European felt right at home in the downtown and cathedrals and the Larco museum, which will remain in my top 5 Museums of all times). I hope you don’t get the wrong impression, everything felt new and unlike anything I’ve seen before (I say that as a proud traveler with 55+ countries behind me). A takeaway? Yes, watch the travel bloggers, yes do keep in mind that altitude sickness can knock you down and ruin your time in the beautiful beautiful Andes! And trust me better you stay the afternoon in the hotel and chill than add another place to your visit, and you will see enough regardless.

Very good - Plan flights well so you don't lose days , in Cusco prepare for altitude sickness ,nothing happens but some people need a day of adaptation and if you go to the Amazon wear cotton shirts and long sleeves and fresh but long pants and very important protector for mosquitoes and the sun
