• Centro Historico de Sintra - Depart the palace and follow the guide to Sintra’s historical center, where you’ll have free time to explore. You can visit the Sintra National Palace independently, where Portuguese royalty of the 15th and 16th centuries spent their summers (own expense), or enjoy a drink and snack (own expense). Try a travesseiro or a queijada, two delightful local pastries.
• Cabo da Roca - Next, take in the stunning landscape of Sintra Natural Park on the way to the next destination. Capture a photo at the cliffs of Roca Cape (Cabo da Roca), the westernmost point of Europe.
• Guincho Beach - Pass by the surfer’s haven of Guincho Beach.
• Boca do Inferno - Pass the cliff at Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno), before stopping to stretch your legs along Cascais’ bay.
• Centro Historico de Cascais - Enjoy free time for lunch and to explore the center of Cascais, a former fishing village now a popular holiday destination. Follow the guide through narrow alleyways to see traditional Portuguese white houses or relax at the beach.
