Stephen and Patricia Thew Lisboa trip to Sintra Cabo da Roca and Pena Place 28 and 29 April 2025 during major power blackout in - Well what can I say. Lots. The experience with Gray Line CityRama Lisboa we had with Joanna ( Brunette) Mon 28th April 2025 and Alina Tue 29th April 2025 was absolutely amazing. Firstly Mon 28th April we went to CASCAIS AND ROC DO Boca then for a beautiful lunch in Sintra. Then the total blackout of Portugal and Spain and parts of France happened causing chaos all over these countries. No traffic lights. Traffic mahem . We had to return to Lisboa. Well done to Joanna ( brunette) and the driver. Cityrama then offered to take us to the Sintra Pena Palace the next day. We took the option and saw the palace the next day. Luckily the blackout was restored. Wow what a place to see way up on the mountain. Cityrama Gray Line should be commended for what the did in a time of extreme emergency. All drivers were very professional and the tour leaders Joanna ( Brunette) and Arlina should be given a big bonus. Thank you so much from Stephen and Patricia Thew from Australia.

Just do it - Nice guide to the history of Portugal. The combination in the bus and at different locations out, was great. You had ample time to explore the places before continuing.

A taste of the history of Portugal - An interesting and varied day out. It is a long day with lots of walking so you need to be prepared. It would have been helpful to know the day timings and the fact there were 3 drop off points in advance.

Good day trip - Great guide (Dorita). Good stops but it’s a long day. Bus was comfortable and stops were appropriate in length. Would recommend for ease of planning.

Not the full experience - We booked a day trip to Sintra with a visit to Pena Palace, however when we got there they told us the road is closed and we cant go.The palace opens in the morning and we got there at 1,so they must have known. We paid €16 entrance fee and we didnt get the refund, which was very disappointing.Even if the road being closed is not the agency fault, they should have compensated us

Dire end - I denounce that at the end of the Sintra excursion today, November 28, 2024 and after the end of the excursion the bus did NOT take us back to the Hotel Márquez De Pompal in Lisbon. The Lady Guide named Dorita took us off the bus on avenue away from our hotel and we had to walk back without knowing exactly where the hotel was. I consider that we pay for hotel pickup (which you did in the morning) and drop us off at the hotel upon returning from Sintra, which you did NOT. It is an unpleasant behavior for a tourist so it must be condemned and not repeated.
