- St. James’s Palace - St. James’s Palace has been the backdrop for significant events in Royal history, serving as a residence for English Kings and Queens for over 300 years until Queen Victoria’s reign. Today, it accommodates several Royal Family members and their offices, hosting up to 100 receptions annually for charities linked to the Royal Family.
- Houses of Parliament - Officially known as the Palace of Westminster, it is the meeting place for both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the UK Parliament. Both Houses work on behalf of UK citizens to scrutinize and challenge the Government’s work, create effective laws, and debate and decide on major issues.
- Westminster Abbey - Since 1066, the Abbey has been the coronation church and the final resting place for 17 monarchs, as well as the venue for 16 Royal weddings. The current church, begun by Henry III in 1245, is a significant Gothic building with a medieval shrine of an Anglo-Saxon saint at its core. It remains a church dedicated to regular worship and national celebrations. Westminster Abbey, or the Collegiate Church of St Peter, Westminster, is a “Royal Peculiar” under the jurisdiction of a Dean and Chapter, answerable only to the Sovereign.
- St. Paul’s Cathedral - For over 1,400 years, a Cathedral dedicated to St Paul has stood at the highest point in the City. It has been central to national events, where traditions and new ideas have been expressed under its iconic dome. The current Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, is at least the fourth on the site, built after the Great Fire of London in 1666, with services starting in 1697. It was the first Cathedral built after the English Reformation when Henry VIII separated the Church of England from the Pope’s authority.
- Tower of London - A Palace, a Prison, a place of Execution, an Armoury, an Observatory, and a Royal Zoo. Three Queens of England—Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, and Lady Jane Grey—were executed here. The Tower houses the Crown Jewels, used in all coronations of Kings and Queens.
- Tower Bridge - Tower Bridge is a well-known London landmark, often mistaken for London Bridge, located about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) upstream. This confusion led to an urban legend about an American buying the wrong bridge. Several stunt pilots have flown under the bridge.
- Downing Street - The residence of the British Prime Minister since 1732.
- The Monument to the Great Fire of London - Erected to commemorate the devastating Great Fire of London in 1666.
- Guildhall - .

- Trafalgar Square - Since 1830, Trafalgar Square has been a gathering and rallying point for demonstrations and celebrations. Its centerpiece is Nelson’s Column, standing over 169 feet tall.
- Royal Albert Hall - Opened in 1871, it remains a prominent entertainment venue. Visitors can enjoy the Royal Albert Hall Stars, engraved stones topped with brass stars dedicated to key figures in the building’s history, from its opening in 1871 to today. The first 11 stars were unveiled on 4 September 2018.
