- Went to London with my parents on holiday (they are from the Philippines) and booked this hop-on and hop-off sightseeing on river Thames. This is really good. Weather was fab so we sat upstairs to have a better view. The live commentator was fab also. Explaining all the history of the landmarks and buildings along the river. I booked the hop on/off anytime and I think it was really a good value. Went all the way ti Greenwich and thought the boat will turn around to head back to Westminster. Had to get off the boat. I panicked as I thought I need to get another ticket for us. Thankfully I purchased the ticket valid for the whole day. On the way back to Westminster we just sat downstairs as it’s cooler and had coffee whilst cruising. Overall, we had fun and enjoyed the cruise. I highly recommended.

Thank you for good laughs and fun facts - Sean and Lee Captains of the Millennium Diamond were excellent! Lee is super funny and makes the ride enjoyable with his jokes and knowledge. I learned from fun facts but I think it was the way he delivered it that made it stick with me. I felt bad I didn’t have cash on me. BRING CASH! give them a tip! So they can continue to do research and bring more facts to you. Cheers Captains. Great view of a lot of historical and modern sight seeing things.

Great way to see London highlights. - Very friendly tour operator. Easy to understand and made it more enjoyable. We did not hop on or off as lines were long and we had other things to see. I wanted to come back and do it at night to see the lights, but we were exhausted and it got dark so late.

Highly recommended! - I have always lived in London but always enjoy this tour and take all my foreign visitors on the City Cruises boats. This is a fantastic way of seeing London especially if you don't want to do too much walking. The boats are huge and you can see from everywhere whether you are upstairs in the open or downstairs if the weather is not so good. There are bars selling snacks, soft drinks, alcohol and tea and coffee as well as ice cream. The commentary is always a hoot with loads of jokes and always have me laughing out loud but unfortunately they go over the heads of those who cannot understand good English. I just want to put in a good word for the lovely lady, Brooke, who run the bar on the upper deck. Someone had accidentally stepped on my foot and broken my shoe and it needed fixing and she went out of her way to help me. She was amazing and I am really grateful to her.

Great Tour but beware only one way - Lovely short river cruise; however, we were not aware that it is one way so we had to get off at the Tower of London. We then had to find our way back so we felt fortunate to have the hop on hop off ticket. We used that and it dropped us off at Waterloo Station because the bus was finished for the day. From there we had to find our own way….wished someone had told us that in advance…..

Disappointed - It was not what we expected. We got on at Tower Pier and had a narrated trip down the Themes to our only stop at Westminster. Then a return trip to Tower pier with one short stop on the south shore. It was not a hop on and off experience.

Boats with Problems!!!! - We set out with a plan to board the first boat at Greenwich to Westminster Pier and stay on the boat for the return journey to Tower Bridge and our lunch appointment. We were in the queue at 10 o'clock along with many other people - 20 past 10 we were informed that the boat was cancelled due to a compass failure and the next boat was in 40 minutes - it was a very hot day and with no shade available. Not happy customers! We boarded the next boat and travelled up to Westminster Pier, where on arrival we were all told to disembark, as the P.A. system was not working. As this boat was now cancelled we again had another 40 minute to wait for the next boat to depart. The only way we could make our appointment was to take a taxi. We are not at all pleased with the service we received on Tuesday 8th July! As you do not seem to have an email address for dissatisfied customers I have notified Trip Advisor!

Nice but they corner you to leave a tip - Thought this be lovely trip for me and my 3 year old, soon as we enter the boat the guy said i bet you will tip well, anyway we got on the boat and the tour guide was doing his talk what was nice but at the end he said if anyone wants to leave tips £5 £10 £20 £50 or euros you can up to you, anyway when we left he then cornered me and my boy and said dont forget to leave your tip; was worse begging i ever seen, and really ruined the whole time had on the boat; he then was saying to everyone, not even a hour on the boat and you buy a ticket so why they forcing you to tip

Poorly sold - Very misleading. We bought a ticket we thought took us from Westminster to Greenwich and back. Apparently you can only do Westminster to Tower Hill and back or tower Hill to Greenwich and back. Supervisor very unhelpful.

Racist Treatment of Guests - I visited the location at Westminster pier for my tour in June. What I witnessed by the woman scanning tickets (I believe her name was Dani or Dana. She had long, light colored hair and bangs) was absolutely disgusting. In front of my family was a group of about 20 Asian tourists. It was clear that they did not speak English and were having trouble pulling up their tickets. Instead of helping the group try to locate their tickets, the employee rolled her eyes and blatantly said "I don't have time for you" and skipped passed them to call my family up next. I was shocked at the racism and disrespect towards some of the very people that keep her place of employment in business. No customer should be treated or spoken to this way. It's truly upsetting to see, and City Cruises should be ashamed. As a travel agent, I will NEVER support city cruises London by recommending and/or booking clients there. In fact, I am so disgusted that I will make sure to tell my clients to stay clear of this company and how they treat foreign guests.
