Day 1: Luang Namtha – Ban Prang – Jungle Campbase 1

The initial part of the journey involves ascending steep hills, passing through rice fields, and observing villagers at work. The trail leads deeper into the forest, primarily along the ridge-line, offering breathtaking viewpoints. A locally prepared lunch will be enjoyed under the shade of towering trees. The trek continues up the next mountain and through the dense jungle. The guide will share insights about the use of wild plants and herbs and highlight any wildlife in the vicinity. The day concludes with a descent to a stream, where the best spot for setting up camp will be chosen. Relax or assist the guide in preparing dinner, learning about bamboo and local cuisine. After dinner, enjoy stargazing and the serene sounds of nature before retiring for the night.
Day 2: Jungle Campbase 1 – Salt Lick Area Wildlife Tracks – Ban Nalan Neua
The Hiker Travel Agency Laos - Rise early for a refreshing wash and a warm cup of coffee or wild tea as the guide prepares breakfast. Post-breakfast, the hike continues through lush forest areas, with hopes of spotting wildlife. The trek proceeds uphill and along the ridgeline, offering scenic views. The journey then descends to the village of Ban Nalan on the Namha riverbank, where villagers will prepare accommodations. In the village, relax, swim, interact with locals, or assist in cooking dinner. The evening ends around a campfire, sharing stories with the villagers.
Day 3: Ban Nalan Neua – Ban Nalan Tai – Ban Nam Koi – Luang Namtha
The Hiker Travel Agency Laos - Villagers rise early, so be ready for an early start! Explore the village to observe daily preparations, including farming and bamboo weaving. After breakfast, depart the village around 9 AM local time and hike to Ban Nam Koi (Lantan tribe), a small village renowned for bamboo paper and indigo dyeing, located on the riverbank. Spend some time there before trekking over the mountain to the Lantan village of Ban Nam Lue, near the main road. This marks the end of the trekking adventure. Transportation will be ready to return to town in the late afternoon.
