Stroll along the UNESCO riverside as we seek out umami-rich yā miàn noodle soup, followed by braised bak kut teh pork ribs—a powerful duo where tender, sauce-coated ribs meet aromatic, slow-cooked duck. • Melaka - Midway, grab some banana-leaf-charred otak-otak fish cake, before enjoying a glazed, pork-filled chā shāo bāo. Move to a 50-year-old family-run eatery to honor a vanishing generation of street-food royalty. This is local legend territory, serving up thin-skinned popiah basah fresh spring roll, tangy fruit and veg rojak buah, and a rich, coconut-infused laksa noodle soup that embodies the Peranakan-Nyonya spirit.
