• Maras - At 8:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel to embark on our journey to Chincheros.
  In Chinchero, situated at 3780 meters above sea level, we will explore its traditional market and immerse ourselves in its culture and handicrafts.

Next, we will head to the circular platforms of Maras Moray for a vibrant tour, passing through quaint villages and picturesque landscapes. Moray features a series of enormous, concentric terraces that overlap within a gigantic pit. These stunning terraces were used during Inca times as an agricultural laboratory, serving as a “Prototype of Greenhouse”.

Our final stop will be the salt mines, located northwest of Maras. These mines consist of approximately 2000 small wells, each averaging about 5 square meters, which have been in use since Inca and Colonial times and are still utilized by locals today.

After our visit, we will return to the city of Cusco.

The Maras Moray and Salt Mines tour offers an exploration of a section of the Sacred Valley route. From Chinchero, participants can admire stunning views of the mountains and snow-capped peaks, including the majestic Veronica mountain.

In Moray, visitors will see the circular terraces known as the Inca laboratory center, as well as the salt mines where salt has been harvested since the era of the Incas.
