Fully worth it! Life changing experience - I was picked up by Walter (the BEST driver ever) and taken to Moray. Incredible views and rich history and culture. Walter was kind enough to help me get pictures since I was traveling solo. We went to Maras and he gave me info about the history, the process, and overall knowledge on salt. I was able to support local shops and hear some live music as well. The best part of the tour was definitely visiting Andean Colors. I was able to meet Miguel and Paolita, who were incredible kind, informative, and fun to be around. The history of Andean Colors is amazing and the mission (to support single mothers providing for their families) is so worth it. I was amazed by how intricate the process of weaving is. I was able to walk an alpaca, feed some animals, dye yarn, use sheep wool to make yarn, and make my own beautiful bracelet. There was also a delicious lunch provided. Overall, this experience will likely be my top Peru experience. I’ll always remember how wonderful every part of this day was and I’ll always think fondly of Paolita and the 38 mothers working to preserve textile knowledge and care for their loved ones.

Great place! - Great experience, the people are kind and the experience is fun. You get to see alpacas and llamas, after this you’re shown how their fur is tainted and turned into strings, and at the end you get to buy very nice designs.

Recommended tour - Such an incredible experience. Marco was super nice and informative and showed us so many cool things. He was very friendly as was Hilda. She helped me find all the sizes and colors of the clothing items I wanted. I had a great time. The llamas and alpacas were cute. Also, the snow tipped mountains in the background made pictures super nice. I highly recommend.

Awesome place with an awesome cause - I loved this place! The director of the place was very informative about the cause they were trying to promote (helping/empowering single mothers and decreasing the cost of organic), and the women showed us all the techniques of dying the wool. It was a beautiful place, and they were really hospitable. I also really enjoyed the llamas.

A great experience with even greater intent. - Yes you’ll learn and take pictures with llamas and alpacas... you’ll even get to feed them. You’ll learn all about how they create beautiful clothing with vibrant colors. But most of all, you’ll help single mothers become self dependent and support them in learning a trade... you’ll also get some REALLY nice clothing out of it. If you get a chance, definitely give them a visit.

Such an educational and interesting experience - Andean Colors is a great place to be educated on original manufacturing and textile production in Peru. We were happy to support this local business and its amazing people. The alpaca farm is also very impressive!

Educational and fun tour of the sacred valley! - This was an awesome day tour through the sacred valley! Willian taught us so much about the history and culture of Peru. The alpaca farm was my favorite - learning about how to make alpaca sweaters and interacting with the animals. I highly recommend this tour!
