Marrakech – Atlas Mountains- Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou- Boumalne Dades Valley
Marrakech - The journey from Marrakech to Merzouga desert begins at approximately 07:00 in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. The route heads south, traversing the High Atlas Mountains and passing through the Tizi Ntichka mountain pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. The tour includes a visit to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, renowned for being the filming location of many famous movies such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Ibilex.
After lunch, the journey continues to the Dades Valley through the Valley of Roses. Here, guests will stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan hotel and enjoy an authentic Moroccan evening meal.
Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert:
Merzouga - Following breakfast, the tour proceeds to the Merzouga desert, with a stop at the Todra Gorges, characterized by numerous palm trees. There will be free time to walk and explore the impressive gorges.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant along the way. Upon arrival in Merzouga, guests will switch from the car to camels for an exciting ride across the dunes, lasting about an hour, to reach the camp. There will be a stop en route to the camp to witness the sunset over the dunes. The night will be spent in the heart of the desert at a well-equipped desert camp. After dinner, guests can enjoy a drum party around the campfire under the starry sky.
Day: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech:
Ouarzazate - On the final day of the 3-day Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour, guests will be awakened early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Erg-Chebbi. After breakfast, the camel ride back to the village of Merzouga will commence.
The return journey from Merzouga dunes to Marrakech will pass through Tazarine and the Draa Valley, with a stop in Agdez for lunch. The tour will then cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass and the Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech, concluding the 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
