This particular airport is powered by a 454 Chevy Engine that’s capable of accelerating to speeds as high as 35 miles per hour. The boat is propelled by a large fan behind the boat which can deliver wind speeds of over 200 miles per hour. This tour is fast and loud!
Your tour guide will take you around the swamp and make frequent stops for you to have encounters with the wildlife. Chances are you’ll probably have some reptilian visitors. The alligators have no problems making their way to the side of the boat and showing off for the visitors. After the tour of the swamp is complete you will be returned to the original departure location to make your way back to New Orleans.

My husband and I had the... - My husband and I had the best time on our airboat tour! Our guide went above and beyond to make sure that we all had the most fun possible, stayed cool and got great pictures! If your guide is as fun as ours, you’ll leave laughing, with tons of pictures, and probably be soaking wet! 🤣

Worth it. - Very cool. I’d done swamp tours before but in an airboat is superior. Good guide. Loads of fun flying over the waters. Our guide did well at explaining the local area and animals we saw.

Absolutely wonderful - It was such an amazing experience the tour was both beautiful to see and Ian our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the whole place, we learned about the eco system, trees etc we saw many birds and loads of alligators up close. All in all it was one if the best experiences we had on our trip from Scotland.

Swamp boat - Best swamp boat tour we have been on! Plenty of gators, guide was very fun and took time to explain everything about the habitat and gators. He even had a baby gator we held! Well worth the drive to get there.

Highly recommend! - Couldn’t have asked for a better experience on the Bayou. Our captain was so knowledgeable and such a pro! My husband hasn’t stopped talking about our adventure. Saw many, many alligators up close and personal. Book this ASAP, you won’t be sorry.

Hangin' with Bobby in the swamp - Don't forget to spray down with sunscreen and bug spray. It is humid in New Orleans so bring water. The fans are loud, but the tour company provides comfortable ear protection.
Water is available in the store.
This was a great trip. Bobby was a great guide, knowledgeable, and funny. Definitely recommend this trip.
If you are wondering if 2 hrs is too little time, it's not. In the heat and humidity, it's just right in an uncovered boat.

Bayou Blast with the Best Guide [Garrett] in the Swamp! - We had an absolutely unforgettable time on the Ragin’ Cajun Airboat Swamp Tour, and Garrett was the star of the show!
Not only did he make the ride thrilling (hello, high-speed spins and close-up gator sightings!), but his knowledge of the swamp, wildlife, and Cajun culture added so much depth to the experience.
We saw gators up close, learned about the bayou, and felt safe and entertained the entire time [water is typically not my thing] 🫣. He clearly loves what he does—and it shows.
If you’re looking for a fun, and educational swamp adventure, this is it. And if Garrett’s your guide, you’re in for a great ride!
