Great trip - The Valley of the Kings was impressive. With the ticket that is included you can visit 3 tombs. We bought tickets for 2 additional tombs on site. Tutankhamun and Ramses 5/6. Those were particularly beautiful. The Dutch speaking guide was good. There were 2 people added while it was a private trip but that was fine. We skipped the brick factory and enjoyed an afternoon at the hotel pool, on the Nile. That was delicious. The next morning up early again for the balloon ride. Highly recommended. Then breakfast on the Nile and to the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Then a Felucca trip on the Nile, lunch and back to Marsa Alam. This way it was doable, with wonderful experiences. We enjoyed it very much.

Excellent private experience - Just what we wanted, privite mini bus, personalized experience, both our driver and guide Khalil were professional and friendly. We saw all we wanted and nothing more, extra trips are available (Nile cruise - great experience!). Everything was taken care of, no issues whatsoever, we could enjoy the antient Egypt without unnecessary distractions. Well worth it!

Excellent service, excellent team - My daughter and I had an excellent time in Luxor, and the trip from our hotel in Marsa Alam went super well. Thank you to Amal and to her boss, and to all the wonderful team of Marsa Alam Tours for organizing this trip. This is the second time I travel with this company, and it won't be the last !

Great trip to get a real glimpse of the real Egypt. - We had a great overnight stay with a private chauffeur and tourguide. Everything went really smooth and we had enough time to really get a glimpse of the traditional Egypt. All thanks to our great tourguide Mansour. The hotel is located at the river Nile with beautiful sunset views. We have enjoyed sunrise during a hot air balloon trip. Achmed, our driver in Luxor and back to Marsa alam made sure we returned home safely. We would definitely recommend this trip to everyone!

Fantastic guide, sites and transportation - I am not an easy person but this was a fantastic experience. Transport was in a spacious airco private van, the trip was with two drivers for safety who were excellent and very careful. The guide was wonderful, spoke Dutch fluently, had deep knowledge with a degree in Egyptology. And Luxor is just a very impressive place to go. Must see!

Tombs & Temples - This was an amazing experience, travelling in an air conditioned car with our own driver and personal guide to Luxor and all its attractions. The guide, Hares, was an absolute gem, very informative and knowledgeable. There wasn’t any question that he couldn’t answer so we felt it was a much better deal than going by coach and sharing a guide with 10 others. Our driver, Han? Knew the roads well and made sure we were always comfortable. Would book again!

Mooie excursie met punten voor verbetering - We did the 2-day trip from Marsa Alam to Luxor. It is definitely worth going there. The driver picked us up on time, but during the journey we held our breath at times because of the speed. It’s good to know that the route Goggle maps shows, is not the one you are taking. The trip goes via Port Safaga due to bad condition of the shorter road. Our guide was a friendly and helpful man. We did find it difficult to understand his English well because of the accent. We enjoyed the beautiful sights, which are very impressive. And we were surprised that we were hardly bothered by salespeople. On both days the tours end around lunchtime. My husband and I got very sick from the lunch at the local restaurant, which is included in the trip. We had already left the salad and only eaten the rice and Köfte, but we should have had lunch at the hotel in Luxor. The Steigenberger hotel was okay (a bit of faded glory), the room was located at the front of the street. There is honking there all day and night. We wanted a quieter room, first they told us we had to pay extra, but finally they gave us a room on the 5th floor and that made a big difference. We were very pleased with a different driver on the second day. He drove carefully and brought us back to Marsa Alam safely. So there are certain things you need to take into account, but despite the 43 degrees we still had a trip that we would not have wanted to miss.

Repeat the company but not the excursion - The journey takes too long from Marsa Alam to Luxor, it ends up being 5 hours outbound and 5 return to be 6-7 hours in Luxor. He came to us to find a van from another company without warning, so it generated insecurity at the time of collection (we trusted because they had all our data and those of the reservation). Visits to the monuments are very quick and barely gives time to enjoy it. The guide, Nour, is nice, explains very well and is fluent in Spanish, but I missed a little thread between the different monuments we were visiting (what was happening in Egypt at that time? Why did they expand what was built instead of making new temples/tombs?...). They give you all the water you need to survive above 40oC without any problem and buy more if you finish the one they carry. On the other hand, they sneak you a visit to an artisan alabaster factory (without asking if it's okay or not) where they explain how they do it with a little show, so you see yourself in the commitment to spend money there... And it's not cheap. This also wastes 1 hour of visiting other spectacular monuments (or spending more time on those visited). Besides having to put up with all the grocers selling souvenirs, which are irritatingly heavy. These last 2 points made me put in a bad mood, which you do not want while on vacation. So: - Would you make the 1 day Marsa Alam to Luxor excursion again? No. Very tired, does not give time to enjoy everything and you have to argue so that you do not get scammed. Would you hire Marsa Alam tours again? Probably did, because everything went well. Yes, leave all the conditions of the excursion well clarified (what includes and what does not) because our guide was not clear and we had to check it with my emails and with the company.
