Morning Whale Watch - My sister and I loved our Morning Whale Watch. We have not been able to sail out of Lahaina Harbor before and we were happy to see that the harbor was back open. We saw lots of whales and quite a few whales breaching near the boat! The guides were very informative and happy to answer any questions. This is our second time sailing with Sail Maui and we will definitely sail with them again.

Whale Watching excursion with wife and grown children - Had an amazing experience. The catamaran was so much fun and so relaxing. We were able to see several whales which was truly amazing to see up close. The Captain and crew were so great. This was one of the highlights of our Maui vacation. Loved being able to support the businesses in Lahaina. Would highly recommend this excursion.

Must go whale watch! - Great crew! Everyone was able to see the whales from the boat because they didn’t crowd the boat with customers. Loved the whole experience!

What a show! - The staff were very informative and accommodating! Jen’s knowledge of whales answered all our questions. The captain moved the boat as whales moved about the ocean. So fun!!!!

Go with Sail Maui and you’ll be glad you did. - The staff was so warm and welcoming. Jen met us in the parking lot and guided us to and from the boat. Two captains were on board and led us to view whales in several places. Drink orders were delivered by Jen and always with a smile. She also dropped the microphone down so that we could actually hear the whales which was WONDERFUL! I’ve never experienced that on any other whale watching tour and I’ve been on at least five!

We Saw Whales!!! - WOW! Just Wow! This has been the highlight of our trip to Maui. 2 hours on the beautiful ocean with two knowledgeable sailors. A perfect amount of time to see the beauty of both whales and the views! Our family included 2 children under 5, two millennials, 2 Grandmas and a Gramps. We all had a blast. Our kind and experienced sailors, Ciro and Mica, knew just where to go and were quick to point out spots to watch. We saw Whales! The excitement started with seeing whales come to the surface, often elegantly diving again sharing a flip from their tales as they went. But Mica shared a little secret about whales and their curiosity, getting us all involved in seducing whales to come visit. I don’t know that everyone gets this amazing show but we had 2-3 whales come up to the boat, rolling over to give us close up views all around. It was thrilling! Mahalo Sail Maui!

Wonderful whale spotting trip! - Had a great time on this trip. We saw a mother and baby whale almost as soon as we left the harbor. Witnessed whale behavior I’d never seen before so that was doubly exciting. Ollie was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the whales. Would definitely do this trip again. The booking staff were also very helpful. We delayed our trip 2 days on their advice that the sea was pretty rough. This worked out perfectly because the day we sailed was really calm, making the whale spotting easier.

Absolute best! Book now!!! - The best experience, chew, vibe, everything!!! I have done a few whale watching tours while living on Maui and this is by far the best experience I've had. Great crew (Justin and Micah) who were knowledgeable, kind, great sense of humor, massive respect for the whales and Lahaina. I cannot wait to book again this season. I plan on bringing friends and family when they visit! I think it was Micah (sorry if spelled wrong) who was able to capture some amazing film of a mother and calf that were by the katamaran and sent it to all of us! We were all able to get great shots and simply enjoy how magnificent the whales are. Incredible!!

Think twice before booking their morning whale watching tour. - Last year we went on a whale watching tour with Sail Maui and had a fantastic time on a nice catamaran, fresh fruit, breakfast pastries and a full open bar. However, this year we were on a small catamaran that could have used a good cleaning. There were no seats, just sitting on the nets or the ledges of the boat. There was an open bar with limited beverages. The tour description stated light refreshments. That was a bag of potato chips or a package of cookies. For a tour starting at 9 am I would expect some breakfast items, not a snack. It was not a budget tour either-$90 per person. With all that said the crew consisting of one crew person, a captain and a captain in training were all super friendly and knowledgeable. We go to Maui every year and do 3 trips, but it won’t be with Sail Maui.
