- President Meguro Heights - The class is held in a private studio conveniently located a short walk from Meguro Station on the JR Yamanote Line or the metro station. Participants will be welcomed by the instructor, who will begin with a brief presentation on the traditions and festivals involving mochi and its significance in Japanese culture….
- President Meguro Heights - The class is held in a private studio conveniently located a short walk from Meguro Station on the JR Yamanote Line or the metro station. Participants will be welcomed by the instructor, who will begin with a brief presentation on the traditions and festivals involving mochi and its significance in Japanese culture. Attendees will then learn to make strawberry daifuku mochi, three-color dango (mochi on skewers), and warabi mochi. Following this, the instructor will serve savory grilled mochi with soy sauce and nori seaweed.
A demonstration on making mochi ice cream will also be provided.
The class will conclude with a tasting session accompanied by green tea or coffee.
The instructor, a certified Wagashi Instructor, is fluent in English and can offer insights into local life as well as recommendations for shopping or sightseeing in Tokyo.

For over a decade, we have been offering cooking experiences in this region, welcoming more than 7,000 guests from across the globe. Participants will not only learn how to make mochi but also discover the cultural significance of mochi in Japan.
This is a highly engaging course suitable for all ages. During this 2-hour session, participants will create and taste five different types of mochi dishes from scratch. They will enjoy a hands-on experience, feeling the texture of mochi and shaping it into various desserts. At the conclusion of the course, participants can savor the mochi with green tea or coffee. (Alternative fruits will be used if strawberries are not available).
A downloadable recipe will be provided so participants can recreate the dishes at home.
This experience is gluten-free, and a vegan option is available. Please inform us if you wish to book for more than eight people.
