Great class, in an intimate setting. - I had a great time. The host was delightful, her studio is very pleasant and easy to access. I learned exactly what I wished to know about wakashi. The best part was the degustation after class, of course.

Fun experience - We learned so much about mochi and had fun making it with a very small group of 4 students. It was a great way to spend time with my 10-year-old. At the end you are served tea along with the mochi you made. It will likely be more than you can eat. Owa is a wonderful instructor!

Joyful mochi making experience for the whole family! - Tucked in a nondescript apartment building, a delightful culinary experience awaits! Waka, our cheerful instructor, taught our family how to make 3 different kinds of mochi treats. Her assistant, whose name escapes me, was very kind. She helped my youngest daughter with some of the trickier mixing steps. We learned a lot about the history and tradition of mochi in the Japanese culture as well!

Walka’s class was part educational and part cooking, we learned about the history of mochi and created four types of mochi. An excellent experience! - This was such a fun experience and we learned a lot! The teachers were so kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone genuinely had a great experience. The mochi is absolutely delicious! We learned about new ways to eat the mochi and the cultural importance of mochi- it was so cool! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. They also offer seasonal classes which focus on the fruits and holidays of the season. We went during strawberry season, it was excellent!

Perfect morning making mochi - Who would have thought making tasty and photogenic mochi would have been so much fun? We made several different kinds of wonderful mochi, from the dango to the strawberries. Our hosts were knowledgeable around the how and why along with being patient as we made a mess of their kitchen. Bonus? We got to eat it all when we were done!
